When we finally made it the temple of Pluto, Athos began to act weird. He seemed hesitant and more distant than usual. I stuck around Sean as he let me nuzzled onto his arm. We had gotten a chance to talk during the time Athos was asleep. But even that wasn't enough for me to clue him in on my feelings. I had known him for five years and he practically was my first real friend.

Gazing at him, I smiled. He looked at me curiously. "What?"
A bit apprehensive, I shook my head. "Nothing, I was just looking at your eyes."

After a good hour, we made it inside the temple. Taking a deep breath, Athos turned around with a look on his face like he had something to say. "Guys, I should tell you . . . something."

Before he could finish, I gasped in awe. Right behind him across the venue was a giant statue of the Lord of the Undead and Riches. Pluto himself. I smiled in awe as I gazed at the finemenship of the statue. Everythihg crafted of the statue was done to such a precise extent that it almost made the statue look real. They even caught his helm of darkness and sword to an exterme finemenship.

"This is divine!" I shouted. "Amazing that any one god could build such a statue. Even the ones at temple hill weren't this good." Glaring at me, Athos held his breath. He didn't want to say anything rude, but I couldn't really help myself. As a daughter of Minerva I always loved architectual stuff.

"Jasmine." Sean called. "That was rude. Athos had something to say." He crossed his arms with a smugg look on his face. Almost like the ones he had whenever people would talk over him.

"I'm sorry." I nodded. "What were you saying Athos?"
Gazing at him, I found concern on his eyes. He seemed to know something. But whatever it was he didn't want to share it. "It's nothing." He murmured with a fierce look on his face. "Let's just stay close."

We continued deeper inside the temple. Athos knew exactly where to go, where to turn and when tp stay silent. By the time, we stopped walking we reached a giant door. It was ancient and very dry, but there were still words legible enough to read.

DEATH HOLDS RICHES
DIRECT AMBASSADOR OF DEATH
PLUTO

Gazing at the doors, I took a deep breath. "Are you sure we should be doing this?" I asked. "I mean, we could just go back."

"It's going to be fine, Jasmine." Athos called out. "If anything happens, we're all more than capable of standing our ground. Besides, it's one of him and three of us."

"Athos is right." Sean added. "Besides you're a defensive combat specialist. You will lead us." He smiled, and with that all my fear faded. Just knowing that Sean had so much faith in my skills was enough to help me push on through.

Pushing the doors open, Athos marched on in first before Sean and I followed.
