That night, I slept like a Medusa victim, that was to say as a rock. But even sleeping like a rock, had it's problems. I dreamed that, I was in an underground palace, walking around. Slowly, the dream came life and I had felt a unique bond with it.

I was walking through the halls of an ancient temple, it wasn't familiar but looked like I should remember it. When I finally made it to a giant set of doors I saw an old sketched out message on the door. It read Direct Ambassador of Death. It was obvious that Pluto had many ambassadors, but to label a door like so, was rather redundant.

Slowly, the dream shifted, until I saw the same man I had met in person months ago. We were on some beach of the coast of California. The man looked well into his twenties, he held the same eyes as before: shattered, dry and brown. His hair was cut in a similar fashion to mine and he smelled of death and grapes. Taking a deep breath, he smiled.

It was strange, but I felt connected to this man. Almost like we could've been related. He had a broad large build and seemed to be of fair complection. "You've grown." The man murmured. His voice was deep and powerful, exactly what you'd expect from a god. "The time has come, a new age is about to begin. I am giving you a choice to see the world in the wake of destruction orside with me and build a new age.The choice is yours." Turning around the man began to leave.

Kneeling I began to pledge myself. "Pluto. Lord of Riches and ruler of the dead! I will not cowar down throughout life! I am a Roman! We live, we fight and die for Rome!"

The man stood amazed at my words. Slowly he held a smile on his face as he turned back at me. The man seemed flattered to be named a god, but a little insulted as well. In a boom of laughter, the earth quaked. "Roman, you have the nerve to call me Pluto." He spoke slowly. Every word came out like a knife to the gut. "I might resemble many of his disguises, but believe me, If I were Pluto you would've been dead years ago."

Unsure of his demenor, I gazed at him. The silenced for a moment as he smiled. This man wasn't normal, he obviously had powers similar to my own. But he seemed different, he wasn't a good person. Or at least trust worthy.

"I am Nico." He spoke with a mellow tone. Emotions bared out with negativity and a cold stentch of fear. His eyes gazed at me with boredom and uninterest. "I'm a god, at first I was known as a demigod, child of Pluto. Eventually the gods recognized me as a hero and made me immortal. But now, I see everything they've done is wrong. So I plan on changing everything. I'm the one that will bring the end to Pluto."

Suddenly a million things flashed through my mind. I wondered if Pluto had cursed Nico to live a life of hatred. "So you're a child of Pluto." I replied.

Nico smiled. He seemed to be rather eager to leave, but he also enjoyed being around Athos, almost like he made him feel better. "Be warned all children of Pluto will feel pain that no other has ever felt before. It will consume you or you'll define it." In a column of darkness he disappeared as I awoke, to the excrutiating heat of the fifth cohort barracks.

Turning, I noticed everyone was up and ready, looking out the window, I saw nothing but darkness. It was early far to early. Five at the least. But even by those standards, it was still beyond the natural wake up call for any milita.

"Athos, get ready we need to be out by five. Our senate begins soon." Jasmine said. I smiled, and decided to get up and get dressed.

By the time we all made it to the primodian line, everyone had on their togas and was fashioning it the right way. I had to give my sword to Terminus jist like everyone else did. The forums were huge, heck the entire city of New Rome was big. It housed families of demigods all the way down to legacies of legacies. We reached the forums by five forty, and the senate comensed at six.

It was the basics as always. Meetings always began with the formal, the imformal, topics of interest, crutial matters and then resolutionary solutions. It wasn't all that new to me, and considering Lupa had explained a lot, it wasn't anything special. I sat in the furthest right next to Jasmine, as she represented Minerva at the second seat in from the right.

Bella looked beautiful. Her glossy black hair was braided off to the side, and she held a hint of lip gloss on her lips. Her poise was astounding and she really made herself shine out sporting the praetor usual cerimonial wardrobe.

"I see, Does anyone have something to add into our topics of interest?" Bella announced to the crowd of senators. Holding her gaze, she scanned the rows to acknowledge my hand rise in the air.

"Athos?" She said. "Do you have something to add." She spoke with conviction and order.
I nodded. "I had a dream about a man claiming to seek the destruction of Rome and the gods. He seeks Pluto's head. He named himself Nico."

The name struck interest in her. I could see it in her eyes. She had heard that name before. But it didn't seem like that was a good thing. "I see, so it's already started." Bella smiled at Julius almost if she was giving him that kind of smile that screamed, 'I told you so!'

"Julius do you have the latest prophecy commited to memory?" She asked.
Julius nodded. "Yes, but it's not wise to. . ." Before, he could finish Bella cut him off. Her eyes glared at him enraged. "Recite it, in english not latin!"

Obliging with Bella's orders, Julius took a deep breath. He rose and went for the podium. He smiled and glanced at me and Jasmine.
"Six Leaders shall return,
To praise or raze the Earth shall turn,
In promise of wisdom Romans prevail,
Or seize to see the Gods shall Fail."

In a roar of mayhem and chaos, everyone began to spea. Appearantly, the Romans had never gotten a prophecy this specific. But I begged to differ. It couldn't have been the prophecy it probably had more to do with the style of the poem. Six Leaders? I wondered.

With a call of her hand, Bella drew everyone's attention. "Enough!" She called. "Now, Athos, you mentioned a name. Nico. He also implyed he was going to destroy the gods and take down Pluto, his father as you say."

I nodded. "But that kind of action is weird, he mentioned he had been given the powers of a god now, but is that even possible?" I asked.

Senators whispered and churned amonst themselves. "It is." Sean spoke. "Hercules achieved it. Mercury achieved it and so did Bacchus. Although, we don't take well to the Greek myths or the Greeks themselves, we do acknowledge them. Mercury as Hermes gained his immortality because of his craftiness. He stole a group of cattle from Apollo. Bacchus as Dionysus was well with his arts with nature and grapevines. He made the richest and most mouthwatering wine in existance, placing him as the god of wine. Hercules did it due to his status as a hero to mortals. Although he was tormented by many gods. He accepted immortality as a brave warrior and escaped various punishments."

"I see. I should've read Greek myths then." I replied.
"Most of them coincide." He replied. "But if he did gain immortality, there might be a way the gods could take it away from him."

"Don't be so sure, but this does seem to have a looming quest behind it." Bella interveened. "Did he mention taking anything away from Pluto?" She asked.

"No." I replied. "But he seemed to be hidding something else, almost like he was waiting for someone else near by. Do you know of any other demigod that was blessed with immortality in the last century?"

Bella and Julius exchanged a look of exterme pitty and fear. "There was one person. It happened a few years after he had survived the second giant war. You do know the giants right?" Julius answered.

"Yea, they were the second batch of children Gaea had in order to regain control over the world. She decided to breed with her brother, Tartarus. Eventually the giants attacked the gods and started a war." I replied.

"Yes, well after the war, Jason Grace, a former praetor of ours became a god for Jupiter. He was our reprrsentative in Olympus and also communicated between two parties until, Jupiter vetoed his previous actioms. Eventually Jason stopped coming to camp or as far as the stories go."

"I see, so then their's two, a child of Jupiter and a child of Pluto." I murmured. "So what would be our move?"

Sean and Bella exchanged a look. They seemed to wonder as well. I mean, even I knew a quest wasn't out of the question. But to where and for what was more important than sending kids out into a world where monsters roamed the lands.

"To protect and serve Pluto for the time being." Bella concluded. "Travel to the underworld, and help Pluto with any means neccessary. Even if it costs you, your lives you travel there and help him."

"Ok, but who leads?" I asked.
"I will!" Sean announced. "I will join you, since you're on probatio, you can't leave camp yet, but if I go with you, you'll be labeled a centurion of the quest. Our third person will be Jasmine."

"Hold it!" Julius acknowledged, "These thre aren't even offically given a quest! That was more like a chore!"

"This meeting is over! Everyone return to your daily activities." With a call Bella adgurned the meeting as we all walked out toward the camp grounds.
