Percy Jackson and the Creator: The Creator's Trick

Percy and Jason entered the Athena cabin. Chaos, Thalia, and Hazel were standing around the command table. “What’s going on?” Percy asked. Chaos looked at Percy. Tartarus’s army is marching to us Percy. Our spies said an army arrived while you were rescuing Meredith. It’s an enormous army. They will attack us head on coming over the hill. They should be here within three hours. You need to prepare the campers. This looks like his final push Percy. This is his entire army. If he wipes us out then he can march freely on Olympus. We have to hold them here. I will send for your army general.” Percy nodded. Thalia spoke up, “Army? Percy you have an army?” Percy moved to the table. “Yes, for the year I was gone I trained an army. Different Demigods and some of Chaos’s soldiers. They will come fight with us, but for now we need to prepare our defenses. Bring up the plans Chaos and uh, Annabeth came up with.” Hazel stepped forward. “These plans are the best we have. We set up Greek fire mines on the other side of the hill so they will blow when they come up. At the top of the hill we put Apollo kids there so they can fire volley of arrows into them. At the bottom of the hill we have Percy’s army backed by our campers. Thirty to forty yards behind them we have catapults firing Greek fire over the hill. If all of that goes wrong, we retreat to a barricade we will build around the Athena and Apollo cabins. And if we can’t hold that, then Chaos opens a portal to Olympus and we get out of here and blow the remaining cabins sky high.” Everyone processed her words. They could possibly loose the only home some of them have ever known. The door opened behind them and every turned and looked. Zoe was standing there with a sword strapped to her side. “I’ve come to help. I’m an excellent strategist and fighter. Thalia knows this.” Thalia nodded, “She is. We need her.”Chaos smiled, “Welcome to the team.” “Ok guys. Let’s do this.” Percy said. Everybody ran off to prepare.

Percy sat on the boat dock and the lake. This was his favorite spot on this Earth. He felt free and invincible here. He knew what was about to happen, and he knew it held the fate of the universe too. They had no choice but to win. There was no defeat. Percy heard footsteps on the dock behind him. “What do you want” Percy asked. “To talk to an old friend.” Percy turned and found Zoe standing there. “Sure, have a seat.” Zoe sat and looked at Percy. “Are you happy I’m back Percy?” Percy smiled. “Zoe I’m thrilled you are back. I’ve walked around here for 5 years feeling guilty for your death. Knowing you have another chance makes me the happiest I’ve been in a long time.” Zoe smiled and got serious. “Percy can I tell you a secret?” Percy looked at her, “Of course you can.” Zoe looked down. “I’m not immortal anymore. Whatever Chaos did to bring me back it got rid of my immortality. I’m going to age normally now, and I’m scared.” Percy took her hand in his. “Zoe you have so many of us to help you. We will all protect you. I promise. You are starting a new adventure. Let me tell you, it’s going to be the best one you have ever been on.” Zoe smiled and squeezed Percy’s hand. They were interrupted by running footsteps on the dock. It was Jason, “Percy the army is here. They are waiting for you by the hill. Tartarus’s army is early Percy. They are preparing to march up the hill” Percy jumped up and ran beside Jason with Zoe following. They ran all the way to the hill. Percy saw his army, all 300 of them. They were decked out in solid black armor with sparkling white swords. His lieutenant, Jazz, was standing in the front. “Jazz!” Jazz saw him. “Percy everybody is ready!” Percy looked his army over, “This is what we have trained for. WE have trained to take this army head on. I will give my life for each and every one, and I hope you will do the same for me. Use your heads not your strength. We can and we Will beat them! For Chaos!” “For Chaos!” They yelled back. Percy ran to Hazel. “Hazel take the campers and hide behind the ruins of the Big House. When they reach the bottom of the hill come join the fun!” She nodded and shouted orders to the campers. They all ran behind the Big House. Percy ran back to Jason and Zoe. “Zoe go help the Apollo archers. They are going to need it.” She nodded and ran up the hill. “Percy, the Hunters of Artemis are at the barricade guarding the cabins. If we need them they will come.” Percy nodded and looked up the hill. Zoe and the Apollo archers were all knelt down with arrows in their bows. Where Zoe pulled that bow from Percy didn’t know. Percy drew his sword and his knife. Jason was on his left and Jazz on his right. He could feel all the energy from his army coursing through the air. Percy watched as the archers started firing volleys of arrows down the hill. The first Greek fire mines went off throwing monsters and crims into the air on the other side of the hill. More and more mines were set off getting closer and closer to the top of the hill. Zoe and the Apollo archers started to stand and back down the hill. Finally they turned and ran down to them. Zoe came to Percy. “The first wave is all monsters. The second and third waves are all demigods Percy. They are led by Luke.” Percy gripped his sword, “What about Tartarus? Annabeth?” Zoe shook her head. “It’s just Luke.” Percy nodded. “Something is wrong. I would expect those two to be here. Zoe go to the campers and tell them to be ready.” She nodded and ran off. Percy looked back up the hill as the first of Tartarus’s army came over. Larks came bounding down the hill at them followed by Crims. “Shields!” Percy yelled. His army raised there hands and shields of black energy appeared. Percy raised his sword. “Charge!” Percy and his army ran up the hill. As the two armies collided Percy spun his sword in the air slowing down the larks and Crims. His army slashed and cut through the larks and crims and ran to the top of the hill as time sped up again. They came over the hill and stopped. There had to be at least a thousand demigods lined up dressed in red armor at the bottom of the hill. “Percy do we kill them?” Jason asked. All Percy could do was nod. Luke was standing in the front. Percy could see his smile from where he was. Luke turned to the army, “Kill all you want, but Jackson is MINE!” With that Luke turned and ran. His army followed. Percy took a deep breath and ran down the hill towards them already regretting what he was going to have to do.
