Percy Jackson and the Creator: The Creator's Trick

Taken

Percy sat at the command table in the Athena cabin. He was starring at the map of Camp Jupiter. He and the team had gotten back with Zoe about an hour ago. Chaos had taken Zoe to the Apollo cabin and tried to work on her. Percy was alone now. He stared at the map wondering where Jason and Meredith were. They were due back any minute. He drummed his fingers on the table and sighed. This was all messed up. It was supposed to go smooth. Yet that has never happened. Percy was brought out of his thoughts by the door slamming open. Thalia was standing there. “Jason is back. He’s hurt bad. You need to come.” Percy jumped up. “You said Jason. Where is Meredith?” Thalia looked at the ground. “Percy, they got Meredith. They ambushed Jason and Meredith and they took her.” Rage flowed through Percy’s veins. “Get me a team. Now.”

Percy rode on Blackjack again as they flew through the air towards San Francisco. It had started to rain and thunder when Percy and his team reached San Francisco Bay. Percy had four campers with him: Henry, a son of Hermes, Clay, a son of Apollo, Lucy, a daughter of Athena, and Josh, a son of Ares. They flew over the San Francisco Bridge and something caught Percy’s attention. There were no cars on the bridge. Percy pushed it out of his head and they flew on. Henry flew beside Percy and shouted. “Percy, how are we going to get her back? WE don’t know what we will be facing.” Percy looked at him. “Jason told me that had set up different buildings and structures. One of them has to be a prisoner barrack.” Henry nodded and fell back again. They neared Camp Jupiter and Percy told Blackjack to gain more altitude. The others followed them until they were hovering over Camp Jupiter. Percy couldn’t believe what he was seeing. In the fields Tartarus had set up building that were all red. He had an army set up in one part of the field. New Rome was reduced to rubble from the Greek fire trap. Clay spoke from behind Percy, “We are going to find her in that? Percy just nodded. He used his Chaos vision to survey the camp. He found Meredith by her blue aura. She was in a building on the outskirts of the camp. “Ok I found her. She’s in the farthest building on the West side of camp. Let’s go.” Percy and Blackjack dive bombed straight towards the building. At the last second Blackjack spread his wings and they landed softly. The others landed behind Percy. Percy used his Chaos vision and searched the building. Meredith was the only person in there. Percy willed his Chaos power to spread over a section of the roof and it disappeared. Percy dropped in. The others followed. “Clay go secure the door. Henry go search the building. Try to find any important documents. Lucy you will be with me. And Josh,” Percy said looking at him. “You know what to do.” Josh nodded and jumped up and pulled himself back onto the roof. Percy could hear him run across the roof and jump off. “Where is he going?” Lucy asked him. “He has a mission I need him to complete. Now let’s find Meredith.” Percy used his Chaos vision to take him down a hallway and to a back room. Percy pushed on the door and it didn’t budge. Percy raised his foot and kicked below the lock. The door busted open. Inside Percy found Meredith strapped to a table. She had cuts all over her body and a really long gash down her side. Percy took his cloak off and put it over her and cut the straps. He picked her up and carried her back to the main room. Clay was standing by the door looking out. “Has anything happened?” Clay looked at him. “No. A few guards went by. But none came in.” Percy nodded, “Ok, let’s get ready to go. Henry!” Henry came running from around the corner. “Yeah?” He asked. “We are going.” Henry nodded and went to the hole. He jumped up and pulled himself up. Suddenly Clay cried out. Percy spun and saw him fall. A blood red arrow was sticking out of his throat. “Clay!” Lucy cried. Another shout came from above them. Henry dropped back through the hole with an arrow sticking out of his chest. Lucy screamed again. Percy gave his best taxi cab whistle and waited. Within seconds Blackjack and Porkpie landed in the room. Yo boss what’s with the arrows and stuff? You know what let’s forget about that and you give me some donuts? “Not now Blackjack. You need to get us out of here. Percy put Meredith on his back and climbed up. Lucy got on Porkpie. “Blackjack go!” Percy yelled. They shot through the hole and into the rain. Percy could feel arrows flying by his head and body. Blackjack soared over the hill and onto the highway. Percy could see Josh waiting for them. “Did you do it?” Josh nodded, “Yeah, none of them saw me either.” Percy grinned. “Good, we are going to need it.” The shot into the sky and soared for home.

When the landed in Camp Half-Blood Percy carried Meredith straight to the Apollo cabin. Like the Athena cabin the bunks were gone and there were four rows of cots. It was filled with injured campers. In the back there were three separate cots separated by sheets. One was empty. Percy carried Meredith back to it. He put her down and an Apollo camper came over to her and started working on her. Percy looked at the other two separated cots. He got curious. He went into the first one and found a body lying under a sheet. He went to it and moved the sheet. He found Bianca’s cold dead eyes staring at the ceiling. Percy sighed and closed her eyes. This was twice he’s seen her die. Percy went to the other one and found a sleeping Zoe. She looked normal. There was no red glow. She looked like normal Zoe from before she was killed by Atlas. Chaos must have succeeded in turning her back, that means Annabeth could be turned back. PErcy suddenly had hope. Something also seemed different. She didn’t have that Artemis glow. She had normal skin like everyone else. Percy sighed and left. He looked over the Apollo cabin. There were a lot of injured campers. There didn’t need any more pain in this camp. They had had enough. Percy’s attention was brought to the door opening. Jason was standing there. HE was completely healed. “Percy!” He called. “We have a situation. Chaos needs us.” Percy nodded and ran to him.
