The Demigod Games

Sienna:
I awake to the sound of music being played. My body is stiff and very sore. I move my leg and pain shoots up from my ankle.
I groan. Jake's eyes open and he looks at me with concern. "Are you okay?" He asks looking at my ankle.
"I guess. It hurts though." I murmur, wincing as I try to get up.
"Here, let me help you." He says as he picks me up. We make it outside just as the first person flashes across the screen. I look up and see it is Penny, Logan's half sister. When then see that Miranda was responsible for her murder.
The next two murders were committed by Annabeth. They showed us the entire scene.
"Miranda's more dangerous than we thought." Jake says.
Sophie nods. "We have to be careful. Shes obviously a psycho." She agrees.
I look down. Jake wraps his arms around me and I lay my head on his shoulder.
All of a sudden I get a sense that something is wrong. I look at Sophie. She has an eerie smile on her face, and her eyes are gold. My eyes widen. Her eyes are supposed to be green, not gold.
"Sophie, are you okay?" I ask.
She nods, still smiling. "I am fine. Why do you ask?" She responds, in a voice not her own.
Suddenly it clicks in my head. An eidolon. "Guys, stay away from Sophie." I say cautiously.
Jake nods and backs away. Stacey looks at me. "Why?" She asks.
"She has been possessed. An eidolon." I say
Sophie smiles eerily. She then takes out her sword and with out a warning swings at Stacey's face. I jerk Sophie back, but it manages to nick her cheek. I pull out my sword stand in front of Jake, Delilah and Stacey.
"Sophie, get back your control. I don't want to hurt you." I warn.
"Sophie isn't here anymore." She says, still smiling eerily
"She has to be." Jake says.
"Not anymore." She says lunging towards me. I deflect her first blow and I disarm her.
"Jake, get me rope." I instruct.
He nods and looks into his backpack.
"Not going to happen." Sophie calls. Suddenly she is enveloped in her own mini hurricane. She jumps over to the river right next to us and She controls the water making it reach out to Jake. He is pulled up, and he is dragged down into the water.
"Your boyfriend is drowning. What are you going to do about that?" She taunts. I can't get in close, my sword isn't long enough. I go for my bow and arrow, but I can't seem to get a clean shot.
Jake had been submerged for a long time. Suddenly he comes up choking. Then Sophie pushes him back down again. I raise my hands ready to strike her down with lightning.
"No, you don't want to do that. You electrocute me, and you electrocute your boyfriend." She says smirking. She has a point, but if Jake is submerged much longer, he would drown. I know what I have to do.
I grab my bow and arrow and pray to Artemis that I can get in a lucky shot. I pull it back and close my eyes. I let go and I hear a yelp of pain. I open my eyes and Sophie was hit in her chest, probably piercing a lung. She falls, and the water calms. I hear a cannon and I feel guilt come in heaps upon me. In that moment, I hate myself beyond words.
Jake is floating face down, and I run over (or I fast walk since my ankle isn't healed yet.) as fast as I can.
I wade into the river and pull him onto land as Stacey reaches Sophie.
Jake is barely breathing. I try to force water out if his lungs and I succeed. Jake sits up coughing.
I hug him and kiss his cheek. "Are you okay?" I ask.
"Yeah, I'm fine." He says coughing.
I hear barely concealed sobs. I turn and see Stacey crying over Sophie's body. Delilah is standing over to the side staring at the ground awkwardly. I run over to Stacey and pull her into a hug, tears streaming down my face. I look at the arrow lodged in Sophie's chest and the realization of what I did washes over me. I killed one of my best friends. A sob catches in my throat.
All of a sudden Sophie's body disappears and the arrow clatters to the ground. It still has Sophie's blood and Stacey stares at it.
"I hate you!" She screams looking up. "You arrogant, prideful careless gods! I HATE YOU!" Stacey runs over to pick up the arrow, breaks it and throws it into the river. She then collapses on the ground sobbing.
Tears stream down my face, guilt eating away at me. Jake comes over and hugs me. I lean into him, burying my face into his broad chest. He kisses the top of my head and ribs my back. I whimper and he lifts up my chin gently.
"Sienna, it isn't your fault." He murmurs kissing me.
"Yes it is." I choke out.
"No. No it isn't" he insists.
"I think it is." I hear a voice behind me.
I whirl around, coming face to face with Miranda who is standing a few feet away. Standing right behind her are Marco and Caine, both with smirks on their faces.
All of a sudden Miranda smiles a smile that seems eerily familiar.



"Hey sis. Miss me?"
