The Demigod Games

Sienna:
I don't pay attention to any of the interviews. I can't seem to gather my thoughts. I'm the last one going up. Each interview is fairly short, only about five minutes. All I manage to process are laughs and applause coming from the audience. After a while, it's finally my turn.
"Up next is Sienna Delarosa, daughter of Zeus!" I hear the man say into the microphone.
"Come on out Sienna!" He calls.
I take a deep breath and walk out onto the stage. As soon as I am there, a hush comes over the crowd. I feel incredibly self conscious.
The man on stage flashes a brilliant smile, and I recognize him as Aeolus, Greek god of the winds. He looks like he's gone through a shitload of plastic surgery.
"Well I wasn't expecting a beauty this great!" Aeolus says. "I am sure the audience agrees that you are one of the most stunning of all of the young ladies interviewed today!"
Applause and whistles are heard from the crowd.
"Thank you." I say.
"So, you're a daughter of Zeus, and you have Athena and Aphrodite in your bloodline. That makes for an extremely powerful demigod. I heard you went on a quest 2 days after your arrival at Camp Half-Blood and you succeeded. How did you do that?" He asks.
"Well, it wasn't just me. I had friends who helped a lot. And well, I just followed my instincts." I respond.
"It's hard to find a beauty with such modesty these days. I'm sure there are male demigods drooling over you in the audience, and I'm sure they want to know. Do you have a special someone back home?" Aeolus asks.
I shake my head. "Actually my boyfriend Jake came here with me." I say.
Aeolus shakes his head sympathetically. "How are you two dealing? If both of you were picked to be here, then your relationship is obviously doomed." He says.
I look down. "Jake and I are getting out of this alive. No matter what it takes." I say. "We agreed on this. If he goes down, I am going with him."
Aeolus nods slowly. "How sweet. You have spunk and love to fuel your determination. If anyone gets out of there, it is going to be you." He says sincerely.
I smile sadly.
"So how does it feel to be here? Do you feel proud that your father considered you the best?" He asks.
I sigh. "I am kind of proud, but at the same time, I would rather have been one of the ones who stayed home. This place is cursed, and it is sick that the gods would make us fight to the death just because their pride was hurt." I say bitterly.
Aeolus looks at me with surprise. "Aren't you afraid you are going to get punished for saying that?"
I shake my head. "No. Being here is punishment enough. We're going to die anyway." I say.
I hear the timer.
"Well that is all for tonight!" Aeolus says turning to the crowd.
"Thank you for joining us Sienna!" He said. I shook his hand and walked of stage. Once there, Jake comes over.
"You have guts." He says as he kisses me lightly.
I sigh. "Yeah well, I probably just doomed us more." I say looking down.
Jake tilts my head up and looks me in the eye. "I don't care. I am getting us out of the arena alive, no matter what it takes. I am not losing you." He says. I start to tear up slightly. I rest my head against his shoulder and he hugs me. Everyone is traveling up to their apartment.
"I better get going." I say.
"I'll walk you." Jake says. Hand in hand we walk to the elevator and go up to my apartment.
