A/N: So I'm sorry for that short chapter and that ending, but that's how it goes! This is going to be the second last chapter for Green Eyes Is My Mate. I know it's not long, but I'll be doing a sequel for this. You'll be wondering why of course. You'll see by the ending of this chapter. I hope you all like this. Third Person POV
Travis's eyes stung as he watched Percy fall to the floor. His eyes were closed and he shifted back into his human form. His entire body didn't have any clothing. From the corner of his eyes, he saw Poseidon run to his son and wrap him in a cloak. Travis was in his wolf form, he couldn't do anything except take revenge on the demons.
He lunged forward and sank his teeth into the demon's neck. A cold, dark, high-pitched scream broke through the woods. It didn't come from the demon, because it vanished into dust. The cry stopped everyone from moving. It was from Jessica. Annabeth had her locked down and had her fangs just an inch away from Jessica's throat.
Annabeth POV
I dug my claws into her forearm. She killed my mate. My Alpha. Tears stung as they streamed down my cheek. He's dead... no... it can't be, but that's the truth, isn't it?
A growl escaped my throat. I can't kill her by just biting her, but I can kill her in a different way. I'll make her suffer like she made... Percy and me. It'll kill her every minute... no, every second.
"STOP!" a growl escaped my throat again. Everyone, even the rogues looked my way in shock. "Stop! This isn't your fight, it's mine and this bitch's! I don't want to kill anyone for being stupid or I don't want anyone to die a painful death like... like... Percy." I held back the tear that dared to fall.
"Annabeth, we're here for you. We're-" Katie started.
"No!" I shouted, "no... I have to do this myself... This is my fight... I have to do this for Percy..."
No one said anything else. Everyone went into the trees and shifted into their human form and to my surprise, event e rogues/venogers retreated back. The venogers ran out of my sight while the rogues watched vulnerably. No one tried to stop me. They knew what must be done.
I stood up lifting Jessica with me. She whimpered as my claws dug into her skin. "Are you scared?" I snarled holding her by her hair. Stubborn she was, she shook her head. Anger oiled in me. In frustration I slapped her, my claws scratched her cheek. She let out a high-pitch cry. "Fight me!" I growled kicking her in the ribs.
Jessica got back up carefully. She walked backwards her eyes on me. She bared her fangs getting ready to leap. She was testing my self-control. She leaped forward, but of course I dogged and kicked her backward into the trees. She let out a groan before getting up in pain. She was too stubborn to let go and if she can be that much stubborn, I can be a little bit more.
Wind blew my dirty blonde hair back. I let my claws grow out and bared my fangs. A sharp pain went through my body followed by fire and water mixed. My vision cleared. I saw light out of no where, but it didn't matter. My gaze followed Jessica who stared at me with a hint of fright in her eyes. I looked around my surroundings and found myself staring at everyone who stared back with the same fright in their eyes. What was going on? Why were they staring at me like I was an alien from another universe.
I heard footsteps near me and I knew it was Jessica. I spun around and grabbed her by the throat. She kicked her legs in the air as if she could get out of my hold. I might be younger than her, but that doesn't mean I can't be strong. She's going to feel the pain and I know it. This is my fight and I shall win. Her cheeks were wet with tears and red with blood. My eyes stung remembering her torturing my Alpha, Percy. She took everything away from me. My father, my house, my freedom, and my love of my life. She thinks I would be okay with her killing my mate? Well, fuck no.
My grip on Jessica's throat tightened. I tossed her back into the trees like I was throwing a doll. Jessica hit the tree before falling to the ground like a broken toy. I crouched down getting ready for Jessica to attack again, but she didn't. She lay there on the ground without moving.
Everyone backed away from me as if I was a monster. I felt the urge to just break down and not be strong for once, but I just can't... To my surprise, everyone - except the rogues who ran away with the venogers - bowed down. I didn't know what to do. What was even happening?
Poseidon walked over to Jessica who still lay there. He kneeled down and put his hand on her arm to check if she was alive. He finally stood back up. "She's... dead."
Everyone started cheering. I stood there with no smile. Why would I smile? I had just lost my mate. "STOP CHEERING!" I shouted. Everyone stopped and stared right at me in surprise. "There's no point of cheering! Yeah, I killed Jessica, but Percy's still dead! I don't think I'll be able to celebrate without my mate!" I cried letting go of my pride.
Someone emerged from the mansion. He bowed down in front of me. "My dear Luna. Alpha is still alive, but he won't be able to move, or hear you. He can see you, but he can't say or do anything. The demons venom is a dangerous thing. If someone else rather than the Alpha touched it, they would have happened to die, but Alpha is strong. He didn't die, but he's in a coma stage. You can see him if you want to." the man said. He bowed again and ran back into the mansion.
I stood there staring after him. Percy's not dead... He's alive..., but he can't hear me. He can't even speak to me... We won't be able to have fun. We won't be able to run in the woods and hunt together.
"Annabeth dear. You better go see him. A cure for coma is love. Only love. He may not cure quickly. It'll take months or even years to get out of coma stage, but you should try. Go talk to him and see how he does."
I shook my head.
"No. I can't see him." I told him turning around so no one will see me. "Not now. I need to get over this... It'll take time, but I'll try. I'll try."
"All right, dear..." Percy's father walked away only to stop again by a couple of footsteps running.
I looked up to see Hazel, Frank, Leo, Jason and Piper. Jason carried Piper in bridal style. Piper's stomach was a little too big...
"AH!" Piper cried fisting Jason's shirt. Piper's beautiful hair was now cut short in layers. Jason's hair was grown out. Leo looked more thinner than ever. Frank was taller than usual and more built. Hazel's hair was longer than usual. All five of them looked so tired.
"We're here, baby. Don't cry. It's all right." Jason whispered in Piper's ear.
"Jason! What's happened to her?!" I run toward them with the rest of my pack following.
"Pup." Jason looked up with a tiny, but noticeable smile. "My Piper is going to have a pup."
A smile spread on my lips, but just as fast it came, it went. "Oh, okay. Bring her inside! Tell all the boys to leave and the girls to stay! Hurry!" I instructed. Jason nodded and carefully ran into the mansion with couple of the girls behind him. Frank and Leo stayed behind with the rest of the boys. Leo stared at me weirdly. "Um... Leo what are you staring at?"
"Your arm... it's glowing." he said looking up at me. He had a hint of fright in his eyes.
I looked down at my arm to see this huge shape on my arm glowing. It was a shape of a moon. I looked up to find everyone staring at my arm as well. Some were so shocked and others were like "COOL!". Leo backed away a little which hurt a bit, but the moment he saw the hurt shown on my face, he stepped forward again biting his lip.
"Um... I better go see what Jason's doing." Frank ran off to the mansion in a hurry. Looks like I scare a lot of people...
I spun around and ran into the trees. I heard footsteps behind me.
"Luna!" it was Leo. I continued running and finally stopped when I reached a cliff. Hmm... A cliff, like the one that authors always write at the end of a book. In my case, my author writes a cliffy end at each chapter. How many suspense is held? ...Don't know.
Leo finally reached me. I turned around to face him. "Leo Valdez. May I ask why did you follow me?" I asked a bit to sharp. Leo stepped back and the fright in his eyes returned.
"I'm... s-sorry. I thought maybe y-you needed c-comfort..." Leo stuttered as he went through his hair with his hand. The gesture reminded me of Percy... I turned back around.
"Oh... um... all right. It doesn't matter. I was being stupid and rude." I told him. I sat down at the ledge of the cliff. I patted the rock next to me. "Sit." Leo plopped himself down onto the rock. Both of us stared at our surroundings. "I know you're scared of me."
Leo looked at me surprised by the sudden statement. "I... not in that way." he hesitated, "It's really beautiful watching you and Alpha fight. I never really saw a girl fight before... I'm sorry if I made it look bad." he looked down at his hands.
I looked at him. "I can give you fighting lessons if you want." I told him.
I told him. He looked back up at me.
"You would?" Leo asked eagerly.
I nodded smiling once again. "Yes."
"Thanks…" Leo smiled back, but the smile slipped off. "Um… I know I should have told you this before, but I didn't want to say it in front of everyone…"
My smile slipped off like his. "What's wrong?"
"Nico's captured by the demons… and Will… no one knows where he is."
