Poseidon explained everything. He told me the details of the quest, the enemy I'd be up against and the reason for me to be challenging him. Appearently, he was my final test as a demigod. If I was capable of defeating him, then maybe I could have a normal life. Whatever that was.

"So that's it?" I asked.
"Don't take it lightly, Percy, you are the only one I see that can achive this kind of quest. It will seperate you from man and god, if you succed."

"I doubt I can, I mean I'm facing such a powerful opponent." I smiled intrigued by the idea. "But where exactly can I find him? He isn't anywhere near by Long Island right?"

"He was, when you were twelve, now he harbors around Rome, he has close tides there, he enjoys Roman culture and art. He thinks it was a promising era for the Gods. Sometimes he could be as emotional as Zeus, or probably Apollo."

I didn't get the joke, but still smiled. "Alright, so I'll need a team of demigods, I guess Leo could help." I thought outloud. Poseidon laughed.

"No, you must go alone, you quest is that of an ancient demigod, best to do it, like the Ancients, solo. Prove to me you can be as tough and skilled as you girlfriend, Annabeth." Poseidon smiled, but just hearing someone else say her name made me want to rip out the guts of any monster.

I had become capable of talking about her, but with the more depth on the topic, the sadder I grew. Closing my eyes, I forced back some tears. "She's always been better than me at these kinds of things." I admitted with a sad tone.

"Percy," Poseidon grabbed my shoulder. "Sometimes, it's best to let the one you love go, if they come back, they care for you as much as you do of them." He smiled. "Come now, a grown man crying, what would your Annabeth think of her seaweed brain?"

"You eavesdrop too much." I laughed.
"I get bored. Being a god is a bit boring at times, but there are some perks." He admitted.

"Like what?" I insisted.
Poseidon gazed at his throne, he encouraged me to take a seat. Sitting on the throne, I felt a surge of power. Then it hit me. I had forgotten this emense power that my father had. It was like I could destroy the entire planet with just the snap of my finger. Jumping off the seat, I took a deep and solem breath.

"That was a lot of power!" I sighed. "How do you control it?" I asked.
Poseidon smiled. "Patience. Now go, I will send you to Rome, when you defeat your enemy return to the patheon and contact me there."

In a wave of green aura, I vanished.

When I opened my eyes, I was standing in a stadium of ancient statues of the twelve Greek gods. Well Roman. There were many others that were missing like Demeter (Cres), and Hades(Pluto). After a few minutes, I decided to search the city for some documentations of the landmarks.

I visited, the coliseum again, the cathedral and even a few tourist locations. After three hours and no information on my enemy, I decided to head on over to the Tiber river. I had lunch at the same place as last time. This time I ordered a panini with a cup of soda- no ice- yea, I learned from my mistake. After eating, I payed with the fancy international credit card, I had Leo duplicate in cases like these, thankfully I had him put in a magical inchantment that had it return to my pocket instantly, so I had it whenever I needed it.

After a few minutes, I wiped my face, thanked the waiter- who was nicer this time, and headed for the river bank.

This time Tiberinus was bathing. He was sporting a pair of swimming ttunks and had a more modern look to him. He had thick rich black hair and light brown eyes that lit up a mood. His smile made you want to laugh and he was way more teen-like.

"Percy Jackson, what brings you to Rome?" He said as he took a seat on the banks. Wiping his hair back he looked at me amazed. "You've aged?! A lot, what are you now, forty years old?" He teased.

"Twenty-four." I replied. "I wanted to ask you about a child of Poseidon's ultimate challenge. His last enemy?" I asked.

Tiberinus smiled. "He's not commonly known to be spotted but, you'd think less of him when you meet him. He's often known as the destroyer, or the creater. He'srally nice considering he doesn't get involved with wars and problems of the Gods. He's relatively nice."

"Do you know where I could find him?" I asked.
"No clue." He replied. "Try retracing your steps from the last time you were here."

"What good would that do?" I asked.
"Myths repeat themselves, so do quests and sometimes new enemies pick up old mistakes from your old enemies. It's weird but no one wants go into a battle blind so they use another's experience to make up for their inability to plan. Many demigods end up dead because they fail to read the myths."

I blushed. "Yea, but normally I have someone-"
Tiberinus read into what I was about to say. He didn't say anything but he knew that I was lost. He knew that something happened. He didn't need to ask about Annabeth because as a god, he could read into it, he had nurtured Romulus and Remus, he read into their feelings and he could read into mine.

"I usnderstand. It's hard living alone for sometime, even when you love someone." Tiberinus sighed, in a shimmer of light his appearance aged once more, it was now more like Gregory Peak, the greased black hair the stylish suit, and even a classic pair of wet leather shoes.

"You changed." I pointed at his shoes. He smiled and rose from the water.
"Like I said, sometimes love is hard, don't worry you'll find her eventually this life is only a fragment of your true self. Do you believe in reincarnation?"

"Well, it was inspired by Greek mythology right?" I asked.
Gregory Peak laughed. "Let's just leave it at that." He said before waving goodbye and powering on down the streets of Rome on his scotter.
