Youth

08.

When he thought about it, Nathan couldn't have expected any kind of reaction, but now everyone was talking, people were gazing at him in horror and disgust and he couldn't see himself actually being any kind of hero here anymore.

Chiron just stood there gazing at them as everyone shreiked in fear. Some people just sat there questioning the information and then there was Elizabeth who was completely calm. She probably was ok with Nathan being the son of Tartarus, considering he had asked her about it more than once.

"Silence!!" Chrion slammed his hoof on the ground once more. This time his voice rose. He gazed at everyone as they relaxed. "Now, you all have a choice, either to shunn him because of his parantage or accept him for him. Nathan can't be judged because of his father being a protogenos."

"proto-what?" Nathan asked. "Isn't Tartarus the god pf Tartarus?"
Chiron smiled. "Yes, but since there are many gods, the gods who helped flurish creation were named protogenos, beings and entities of matter. They are normally consider the god of a solid or vaccum of space. Have you heard the stories of creation. Greek of course."

Nathan nodded. "Gaea gave birth to Ouranos and with that she gave birth to twelve giant, who eventually helped over throw their father and took over the heavens."

Chiron gazed discomforted. "You know of the birth of the titans. That isn't the correct story of creation.Like all beings something must come from something. The protogenos came from the one know as Chaos. Not many know what Chaos is, but those who tell the story change the meaning of Chaos's gender. In the original story Chaos was a star, or so I recall. Then mortals called Chaos a woman since she gave birth to six protogenos, and others consider Chaos a man, since Chaos is a word that rises the ideas of violence."

"Men breed wars." Nathan replied. "But that doesn't mean that the first war wasn't started because of a woman."

"Wise indeed." Chiron smiled. Gazing back at the crowd of demigods, he nodded. "You see, just because of your parantage doesn't mean you're evil. Look a me, or the first olympians, sons and daughters of Kronus, himself, and what we are all trying to benifit the world of creation. The gods have even gone so far as to have half-bloods, the golden blood of olympus courses through your veins. As does his."

"Prove it!" Charles called out. "Prove to us, you're a child of Tartarus! Can you summon a pit directly to tartarus here?"

In a vail of darkness a voice called out. "No." The voice spoke. "But I think I can help with that. Forming out of dark black ashes, a man appeared. He had on a long sleeve black sweater and a pair of skinny jeans. His hair was black but messy and elegant. He looked like he was well into his twenties, but not right there at thirty.

The man held eyes like shattered glass, and was almost half asleep. "I see the olympians built a camp." He murmured. "That's cool."

"Well, Zeus did want to play it safe this time around, we can't have another eradication of demigods again."

"Yea, sure play it safe, why don't cha." He sighed. "If playing it safe means going soft on the kiddies then great." The man sulked under his breath.

"Who are you?" Charles asked.

"I am Tartarus. The son of Chaos, entity of the abyss, the lowest realm of the world, and repositioned keep saker of the imprisoned immortals."

"Impossible, only authorized gods can make visits into this camp." Charles replied. "You must be a demigod."

"Either way, here's your proof." With the snap of his fingers a black vortex opened up to drop a sword in his hand. It was a silver metal of a black but held a black shine to it. Metalic Stygian? Nathan wondered. Walking forward the god smiled. "This blade is the blade of Torment. It was forged over three millenia ago and inforces all of the attributes of stygian iron and metal."

Amazed, Charles stood quiet. "No, as for why I'm here I have a task for you, Nathan." The man turned around. "You must retrieve the blade of Phlegethon. This is your quest for your father. Do this for me and I will answer any questions you have." Taking a deep breath, Tartarus began to walk away.

"I'll be seeing ya." Tartarus waved back. "It was nice to see you again, Chiron!" In a wave of winds he vanished into dust, as everyone remained silent.
