Catherine's story

"WHAT?! B-b-but he... b-b-but..." Percy goes on like this for a while, talking to himself. I turn my brain off until a blond girl walks up.

"Percy, what happened?" she asks.

"Annabeth, Catherine-"

"My name is Cat. Don't call me Catherine unless you want a black eye," I interject.

"-is a daughter of Poseidon," Percy finishes, completely ignoring me.

"Percy..." Annabeth starts, just as that girl- Sam, I think her name is- walks up.

"Hey. Annabeth," she says.

"What's going on?" she says to Percy.

"Hey, uh, Sam. Show Cat around, will you?" Percy asks.

"Okay! " she says brightly and grabs my arm and yanks me in one direction.

"Um, Sam? Why is it such a big deal that I'm a daughter of Poseidon?" I ask after we pass the Artemis cabin. Sam doesn't answer right away.

Sam snaps her head up, realizing she had just zoned off there. "Sorry! It's because Percy is one, too!" she says.

"Why are you so bright and happy all the time?" I say, rather inquisitively.

"Oh" she frowns "Sorry I don't mean to be I just-"

"Oh, it's not-"

"Hey, Sam!!" A girl with dark brown hair and a silver streak in it walks up.

"Hey, Sienna. This is Cat- apparently, she's a daughter of Poseidon."

"Poseidon! Oh, wow- Percy- No wonder he was acting all confused- and a bit angry," Sienna adds. "Well, Cat, I'm Sienna- daughter of Zeus. Welcome to camp! Tatatataaaaa!" she says, rather a bit overdramatic as she thrusts her arms out, doing jazz hands. "Oh! Aaand you're with Clarisse. Again.," Sienna says to Sam.

"Who's Clarisse?" I ask.

"Someone you don't want to meet," Sam assures me, then grabs my arm again and drags me down to the arena.

"Here! A bow a sword or a spear?"

"Um I don't know how to use either of these" I tell Sam

"Hey Sam My sis wants you she says she made something you should take a look at." A boy with curly brown hair and a skinny appearance his hands where greasy and he had a tool belt around his waist

"Oh ok Leo no nonsense with Cat here okay." Sam took off running

"So want to try a bow out?"

"how does it work?" I ask hoping for some pointers instead a heavy sarcastic voice answered me

"You put and arrow in it and pull back the string"

"Percy!" The blond girl from earlier scolds my new brother.

"Sorry"

"Cat if you really want to learn how to shoot a bow you should ask Sam she's now the best with bows" anabeth explains

"ok" I pick up the bow and try to shoot it and hit the target just outside the bullseye.
I get an applaud

"not bad squirt" A rough voice says I look up to see a buff girl in a red bandana at her feet was a black dog

"I'm Clarrisse have you seen sam?" the girl asks and percy stares at clarisse mouth open wide

"thats it? no here welcome to camp halfblood, here meet the toilets!" percy asks and clarrisse shrugs

"I'm looking for Sam so she and I can beat your sister at capture the flag "

"Nope Sam's with us" Annabeth says "You can't have her because she's has a better fight then you I won't let it happen."

"Wont let what happen?" I turn around to see Sam with another brown haired girl who was carrying a bronze bow and arrows Sam takes them and presses a button and they morph into her hair clips.

"Oh good Cat you get a bow and a knife" Sam says

"Sam go get cat set up and then report to the athena cabin for a briefing." Annabeth says and sam nods.

"Come on Cat lets get you in some armor" leo puts his arm around mine and drags me into the armory
