Percabeth Drabble
First Kiss
A/N: So everyone classifies their underwater kiss as the first kiss, but remember BOTL? Kiss for good luck.
Annabeth was going to kill Percy. He actually put his armor on right, and did he get a haircut during the school year? She needed to focus on Capture the Flag, playing against Ares kids would be hard. At this point, Percy was briefed on the new weapons the Ares kids had gotten, and he seemed to retain some of it.
Percy had almost given up the flag, which caused to anger from Annabeth. He seemed so distracted, around her all the time. She couldn't say she didn't like him around, oh gods did she, btu they needed to win and laugh at the Ares kids because that satisfaction could not be passed up. Percy had handed off the flag and he ran with Annabeth to cause the distraction.
"Remember, you run through the river. They'll think you're coming to attack alone, then I'll appear and help fight them while Beckendorf runs the flag across." She reminded him, but he didn't seem to listen to her. It looked like he was staring at her... mouth? She snapped in front of his face to get his attention. "
"Huh?" He looked up at her.
"Stop going off into a daydream, we have Ares kids to beat." Annabeth chided, and Percy blushed.
Do it.
No!
C'mon, you have like a minute before your cue!
NO WAY!
Hey, you know I'm not talking about-
EEW!
You know you wanna.
"Oh shut up." She whined to herself, and Percy looked confused. "Nothing." She waved it off, and Percy followed the plan. She slipped on her hat and turned invisible. She felt a chill run down her spine, but she was used to it. Running around invisible was fun for her, able to beat others in battle because they literally cannot see you.
It was her cue, Annabeth rushed in to help Percy, quickly hooking her hat on her belt. The two fought together like they always did; in sync and knowing each other's undefended spots. The perfect team.
They won Capture the Flag, again. Beckendorf was being celebrated, and Annabeth was glad not to be the center of attention for a minute. Percy seemed ok with it too. She had to keep brushing confetti out of his hair, but he just laughed and shook it onto her.
To be completely honest, she didn't know what she was thinking when she actually kissed him. He seemed okay with it. It really only lasted a second, but Annabeth felt butterflies in her ribcage and her cheeks burnt.
"God job out there, Seaweed Brain."

I've also seen my writing start off horrible, get better, and slowly decline again. *Cringes because I'm ugh*
