Percabeth Drabble

Missing

Annabeth made her way to Cabin 3, since Percy hadn't met her by her cabin. She thought that he probably slept in late, as he usually did. She waved and greeted demigods, feeling particularly good that day. She knocked on Percy's door, waiting a minute to listen for him. The cabin was silent, so she knocked again, a little harder. Nothing.
"Percy?" She called through the door, waiting another few seconds for a response. Annabeth was met with silence. With a breath she opened the cabin door, finding his cabin empty. His stuff was still in place, and his bed wasn't even made. The sheets were still in ball, like he left in a rush.
"Percy?!" She tried to hide the crack in her voice. It's just a prank, he's probably gonna laugh at me or something, Even in her thoughts, her lies weren't convincing enough. Annabeth tore through the cabin, checking drawers and under the beds, even pillowcases fro a trace of him. No clothes were taken, but a backpack was gone.
There she stood, alone, in the middle of her boyfriend's cabin. Her heart was hammering in her chest, throat closing up. She felt like throwing up, and her breathing was nowhere near steady. As she stumbled out of the cabin, Her vision blurred slightly.
Annabeth fell into the grass, scrambling back up. She kept mumbling, "No, no, no.." Over and over again, as if negating the fact Percy left would change it. She thought that she came to the conclusion too quickly, maybe he beat her to breakfast or something. This lead her to breakfast, but Percy was nowhere to be seen. That was all it took, causing tears to break free and roll down her cheeks and the corners of her mouth. Despite her wiping them away, a few people noticed.
Now, she decided to see Chiron about it. He was at the head table, eating some drumstick. When he saw her, he looked troubled, rarely did Annabeth cry.
"We have a problem, regarding a certain son of a certain god." She said, trying not to give it away, but Chiron seemed to understand.
"Take today to figure something out, Annabeth." Chiron told her, and she nodded, heading to her seat. Even though it was her favorite breakfast, she barely ate. Percy would leave like that, she knew it. Something happened to him.

Two o'clock in the afternoon, Annabeth hadn't eaten anything, or been able to focus on anything. She almost lost a fight against a first year, but everyone knew she was distracted. Now she sat in her cabin, reading up on anything that could explain Percy's disappearance. He laptop cast a glow on her face, tear stained and eyes glazed. Nothing was helping her, and her frustration kept growing. She shut the computer and threw a pillow across the room, swearing.

Percy was gone, and she didn't know how to find him.
