I sat at camp with Percy, and rain actually fell into camp. I held my hand out and felt the cold drops of water hit my hand. Percy laughed lightly and then rain wasn't hitting us.
"Happy Birthday." he said, handing me a box. I opened it and an ipod was inside. Just a shuffle, but it was so nice of him. I was silent.
"I know demigods shouldn't use the internet and that electronics attract monsters, and I didn't have much but I really wanted to get you something and-" I kissed him, interrupting him.
"I love it." I said.
"I put some of your favorite songs on there." He pointed to the ipod. I grabbed the headphones from the box and put them in, playing the songs. On Top of the World by Imagine Dragons came on and I paused it.
"Put it in." I handed him an earbud. He put it in and we both smiled as he song played. He held out his hand and I held it. We stood out and danced a little bit. I laughed, we had more fun now.
"'Cuz I'm on top of the world!" I sang.
"Hey!" I Laughed with Percy.
"I'm on top of the world, eh!" Percy sang.
"You should sing more often." I felt myself smile. His cheeks went pink. I giggled.
"I should? You need to. You have a voice like Apollo." He squeezed my hand. I blushed. We laughed. My eighteenth birthday was good.
"You still drool in your sleep." I blurted into the silence.
