I sighed as I made my way up the steps of Half Blood High. I kept my head ducked, so no one would notice me. I had my bag slung across my shoulder and my ripped skinny jeans were starting to make me sweat. No that was just nerves... I was just through the big doors whnen a voice behind me said, " Hi! Im Thalia. Your new right? Thats cool- we barely ever get new kids here. They either die or... no, they just die and never make it here. So whats your name?" she asked. I turned around. Thalia was pretty scary. If she wasnt so welcomng, I wouldve made a mental note to myself to stay away from her. She wore a leather jacket, a dark black band shirt, and she had spiky black hair with breathtaking blue eyes.
"Hi Im Annabeth. Annabeth Chase." I said as I reached out my hand for her to shake. She left me hanging, and gave me a hug. "Well," she said, letting me go, "Welcome to Half Blood High."
I looked around. There were your average jocks (Ares kids), the cheerleaders (Aphrodite), your average populars (Zeus and Poseidon), and then ou add everyone else, and BOOOM. There is demigod high school for ya. I walked the halls with Thalia leading the way.
"So Thalia," I said, "Whos your godly parent?"
"Zeus"
I was surprised to hear that, but just as I was about to respond, someone rammed into me, leaving me sprawled out on the floor.
"So sorry" the guy that knocked me oversaid. I looked at him. He hadgreen eyes and shaggy black hair. Immediately I knew he was trouble, and that I should stay away, but still. A part of me wanted to know more. "Your the new girl..." he said. I nodded. "Im Percy Jackson. Son of Poseidon." he replied. "And you are?"
Annabeth Chase. Daughter of Athena." I said.
