politeness

She turned to look behind her, I saw her face perfectly. Hazel took off running as fast as she could and I ran after her. She ran in to an alleyway to the left. I knew this alleyway well it is a dead end.
two weeks ago I was running from a monster to draw it away from home and ran down that one so I knew I had her trapped. I turned the corner and came to a stop, she wasn’t there. Uhggg thank you goddess of magic thank you. For all I know she didn’t even run in to the alley. I turned around to see Jason come running up. He bent over trying to catch his breath. When he caught his breath he said
“what in the holy Hera was that about”
“Hazel” that was all I needed to say, he understood. We agreed not to tell piper because she was the closest to her and it would hurt her to find out that there was hope that she could find her and change her mind to come back to camp. We had to run to get to pipers so we weren't late well latter then we already were.
Piper was waiting on the curb “running a bit late boys”
“you have no idea” we both said at the same time then we laughed.
“well I’m glad that the two of you are having a good time, but we need to go or we will be late so WALK” I had the urge to walk but I decided not to so I stayed. Jason on the other hand was walking away and I couldn't think of why Jason was but piper wasn't, then I remembered why piper and I had agreed to meet early, she was testing Jason she has been doing this for a while now so if we ever meet another charm speaker we can resist them. the first two times I failed but the last ten times I have passed.
I sighed “Jason you failed, again”
“what? oh damn it”
“good job Percy you didn't even hesitate" she turned to her boyfriend "you’ll do better next time babe”
“yeah right”
“you will trust me”
“how do you do it Percy”
“Annabeth gave me some training after I failed twice she didn't want everyone to think that she wasn't a good daughter of Athena because her boyfriend couldn't pass a test as simple as this one. you know stuff like how to tell whether I actually want to do it or if someone else wants me to do it”
“That’s so not fair, can you teach me”
“no I don’t know what she told me but now it just happens like I want it to”
“oh” we were almost to school now
“sorry dude I can’t help you, hey Annabeth is coming over winter brake maybe she can help you then”
“cool” we were at the school and we split off to go to our classes. We aren’t in any classes together because they both are a year younger than me so they are not with me most of the day. My first class is math my least favorite I mean I am Ok at math that is until it starts in to that letters and numbers crap I hate that, but I hate math because of my old math teacher being a fury and all. I walked to my class, the teacher is a knockout and that’s saying a lot considering Annabeth is the most beautiful woman alive.
“alright take your seats” she looked at me “well don’t be shy come on in” she then looked at the class “this is Percy Jackson and he will be in you class this year” she looked around the room “ it looks like almost all the seats are almost taken, oh there is one right over there” she was pointing to the left back desk, the seat was next to a girl she was shaking and she looked like well me when I am expecting a monster to attack. Could she be one of us, NO she can’t be she would have been killed when all the monsters were sweeping across the country killing all the half-bloods that were old enough to be noticed by them. She must be one of us and I have to find out, so I took the seat. I knew from this point on my life would change permanently.
