Boys are Jerks

Katerina blushed slightly as Nic led her away from the other campers. He was tall, with blonde hair and startling grey eyes that sparkled with intelligence and humour. He had been one of the boys in the volleyball pit that they had seen earlier and Kat had fancied him since he first said hi.
They sat on a bench underneath a tree.
"You know," He said, "Your not like other girls of Aphrodite, your not some blonde bimbo or a try-hard good girl like your sister." Kat gritted her teeth but he kept going. "When I first saw you I didn't think much of you, I thought you'd be just like your sister. But now that you've got the blessing of Aphrodite I see that I was wrong and you're actually the most stunning girl I've ever met." He leaned in to kiss her but only got himself a hard slap, Kat hoped his mouth tasted of blood.
Kat stood up, outraged. "Oh, I see how it is! Insult me and my sister, call me beautiful then try too kiss me! Yes I'm not some blonde bimbo and that means that I know what respect is!!! Just because I get all magicked up you think I'm a different person, you think that I'll just go along with anything you say!" She had him backed up against a tree, her forearm against his chest. "No one insults my sister and definitely no one gets away with treating a girl without respect." She punched him hard in the face. "I hope you bloody well learn too." She judo flipped him and turned her back on him, when a boy emerged from the shadows, clad all in black, h hair swept over his forehead in a kinda cute way.
"Nice flip," he acknowledged, but Kat kept walking from the boy in black, muttering under her breath.
The next day she passed Nic on her way to the armoury to get kitted up and she smirked. His cheek was swollen and bruised. He caught her eye and looked away. She walked up the hill when suddenly she heard footsteps and felt a hand on her shoulder.
She turned and a pair of lips met hers. She pulled away to see Nic's battered face. "Look, I'm sorry. No girl deserves to be treated the way I did to you, it was a huge mistake and I hope you'll forgive me. I didn't mean it that way about the blessing, truth is I knew I liked you when you first said hi."
Kat took a step back. "Two things. First: you're still a jerk and you still haven't learnt to treat a girl right. You've tried to kiss me twice and I hardly know you. Second: I'm late." She turned into the armoury, leaving him on the steps.
"Boys are such jerks," she muttered.

Boy trouble for Kat, don't worry I'll do the actual plot next couple of chapters.I actually just read through the whole thing and realised how much of it is pure nonsense so if you've stuck by me through all that then thank you.
