Nico

It was June 3rd, the morning of the twins 14th birthday. Nico, Leo, Piper, Jason and the Aphrodite campers had a huge surprise party planned after dinner. But until then they all planned to act like they'd forgotten their birthday. All except Nico, that is.

He woke early that day to catch Kat before her first activity, she was sitting, alone, on the back porch of the Aphrodite cabin. By the looks of it her siblings were still asleep. He sat down next to her.

"What do you want?" She growled half heartedly.

"To say Happy Birthday. I also wanted to be the first one to give you your present." He replied.

"Fair enough." She shrugged. After an awkward silence she asked him, "So.... what's my present?"

He grinned boyishly, "This," Then he pressed his lips against hers. She pulled back at first but then kissed him back.

Squeals and giggles came from inside the cabin, accompanied by camera flashes. Maybe the Aphrodite campers weren't quite as asleep as they thought.

Kat just smiled. "I've waited a long time for you to do that." She smiled and kissed him one last time before pushing him off the porch. "Now go! I don't want you to be late!" He smiled and ran back to his cabin to get ready for his sword practice with Jason.

Delia

Delia was glad her sister had finally gotten with Nico, they were meant for each other. She smiled to herself as she ran towards the bunker to watch Leo install Festus. It was the finishing touch before the Argo would be ready to fly.

When she found Leo aboard the ship plugging in wires, she told him all about the mornings events.

Leo chuckled, "I would never have figured Nico as the romantic sort but you never know!" He put one more wire into place and was rewarded by a small explosion of soot right in his face. Delia giggled as he placed a metal grid over the hole and turned to admire the ship.

From her perch on the railing, Delia had to admit that the ship looked good. And now it was done, finished. Over a month ahead of schedule.

"One month, 20 days." Leo observed. "I should have time to upgrade the engine and oars before we leave."

Delia didn't want him to go. A small tear escaped her eyes and, before she could wipe it away, Leo did it for her.

"I'll come back to you. You know me, I'm like an annoying boomerang. You couldn't get rid of me if you tried!"

Delia laughed at that.

"Come on. I'm hungry!" He raced down the rope ladder at record speed.

"You're always hungry!" She called but she followed him down the ladder. She slipped half way and fell, only to have Leo's strong arms catch her.

"I told you you'd have to do a lot to get rid of me!" He joked as he ran, carrying her bridal style, towards the smells of food.

Piper

Piper rushed to greet the twins as they came out of the dining pavilion after dinner.

"Come on," She said, "I've got a surprise for you.

She led them away from the campfire where the party was being prepared and towards the Aphrodite cabin.

She led them inside where, on the twins bunk hung two pretty party dresses: a strapless number with a plain bodice and a poofy chiffon skirt, with a ribbon sash around the waist that matched the hair bows and shoes also layed out for them. One was a blue dress with aqua ribbons for Kat and the other was a pink dress with purple ribbons for Delia.

"Happy Birthday from your brothers and sisters!" Piper announced. "Now go get changed, I'll be outside ready to take you to the next part of your surprise!"

The twins were grinning happily as they went to get changed and Piper waited outside. It was a beautiful summer's night, the sun was setting over the sea as stars began to take its place. Piper sighed, what a beautiful night to celebrate on.

Kat

Kat followed Piper to the campfire. She didn't see why they had to get all spiffed up for something they did every night, but why not? It was their birthday after all!

They entered the amphitheater to lots of cheering. A huge banner was hung across the open roof saying 'Happy 14th Kat and Lia'. Their friends had planned a surprise party for them.

She hugged Leo, Annabeth, Piper, Jason and her new demi-god friends she had made since the quest; Annie and Tink. She saved Nico for last, giving him a nice long kiss.

"I got you a proper present as well." He said. Bringing out two jewellery boxes, one blue and the other pink. He gave her the blue one and Lia the pink one. Inside was a beautiful blue charm bracelet with little blue charms of a sword, shield, bow, arrow and dagger on it. Delias was the same in pink.

"It's beautiful, thank you." She breathed, attatching it around her wrist.
He smirked.

"What?" Kat demanded.

He grabbed her wrist and pulled off the sword charm, it became her sword, 'Death' but blue.

"Woah!" The twins echoed and they both hugged him tight.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" Kat squealed. He touched the hilt back to where the charm had been and it returned to it's charm state.

"And if you lose the sword it'll reappear on the chain." He said.

He walked away and sat down, motioning for her to join him. "I have to leave." He said.

"When?" She asked. They'd only been a couple for less than a day and he was already walking out on her?

"Tomorrow. I need to go but it won't be for long, I'll IM you every day. I can't tell you where I'm going but I can tell you it'll help the seven."

"Fine," She sighed. "But I'm not gonna let you leave until you dance with me."

They slow danced in the middle of the raging party until well after midnight.

He kissed her goodnight and she went to bed, exhausted and happy from an amazing night.
