It's in my DNA

Piper led Delia through a maze of corridors and stairs to the Big houses living room. She knocked on the heavy oak door.

"Who's it?" a voice said from the other side of the door.

"Piper, I'm bringing Delia to see Chiron."

"How do I know you're not Connor again?" The gruff voice asked.

"You don't." Piper replied. Delia was looking more confused by the second. "It's a long story." Piper told her.

"What's a long story?" The gruff voice asked, but a kinder one interupted.

"Come in girls." Chiron opened the door for them and Delia gasped at his horse body. "I'm guessing you're Delia, nice to meet you, I'm Chiron. And yes I'm a centaur."

"I know, my mum told me stories about you but, I imagined- I'm not sure what I imagined!" Delia exclaimed, clearly in awe of the man, who looked like any middle aged man with a clipped brown and an orange t-shirt, yet had the body of a white palomino.

"Piper," Chiron addressed her, "Can you get Leo, I think giving this young lady a proper tour would make a good break from working on that ship of his, we don't want him to kill himself before the quest even starts!" Piper nodded "And then you're on inspection duty. Go get Leo first though, while I talk to this young lady here."

Piper left as she was told, wondering what Chiron would talk to Delia about, perhaps her dad, maybe just about the camp in general.
Piper had to admit she was a little disappointed when she was told Delia wouldn't be a child of Aphrodite. It would have been easy to mistake her for one. Delia was pretty without trying and had an effect over guys, especially Leo. But maybe her Mum was a daughter of Aphrodite. That would be a weird thought 3/4 god. Maybe. Piper decided to concentrate on finding her way to the bunker, Delia would tell her in her own time.
Finding the bunker was always difficult but Leo made it easier for her by making so much noise and smoke, all she had to do was follow her senses.

She reached the door, where a skeleton of a ship was help in place by large stands and clamps, being joined together by several grease-covered kids.

Piper walked over to the nearest kid and asked for Leo, he pointed her towards the back of the ship, sure enough she found him welding things together with his hands, sweaty and exhausted.

"Leo!" She shouted, trying to get his attention. He yelped a not very manly sound and relaxed when he saw it was her. "Come on, Chiron wants you to take a break."

He nodded tiredly as she dragged him from the bunker and told him Chiron wanted him to give Delia a tour and she left to do inspection.
