Leo

Leo could hardly work on the Argo II, he was too distracted thinking about Delia. She was pretty: not coldly pretty like Khione, not dangerously pretty like Thalia, nor magically pretty like Piper when she got Aphrodite-zapped. She was just simply pretty without trying.

Leo cursed as his shirt caught fire- he needed to concentrate.

But damn! The way her milk chocolate hair flowed down her back in a messy ponytail, the loose strands framing her face and her almond eyes that were deep-green, like the pine trees in the forest. Her cute pink, bow shaped lips and creamy, olive skin. The way her eyes gleamed with laughter as she giggled at Leo's jokes, she actually laughed at his jokes, no girl did that...

He yelped as Piper brought him back to reality. Askig him to give Delia a tour. He nodded and rushed to Cabin 9 for a quick shower and a change of clothes. There was no way he was showing around the cute new girl covered in soot and with a half-burnt shirt.
He was rushed to the Big House, summoning breath mints on the way. He was there just in time to see her come out. Her eyes wide, glistening not with laughter this time, but with tears. He rushed to her side.

"What's wrong? Are you ok." He asked softly.
She just shook her head and sat down hard on the step, her head in her hands.

Leo awkwardly sat down with her, his hand on her shoulder. "Hey, it's ok, you're here now, you've got family." He really wished Piper was here with her charm speaking.

Delia suddenly threw her arms around her neck, crying into his shirt. He awkwardly hugged her back until she stopped crying.

"You ok now?" He asked as she pulled away, wiping her eyes, sniffling. Which Leo thought still made her look incredibly cute.

She nodded "I'm really sorry it's just, Chiron talked to me about my mum and I kinda lost it, and then he asked if he could look after Elysium and she- she's all I've got left of her."

"Hey, it's ok, I lost my mum too. We've all had losses here at Camp Half Blood. And we're all family, we're all here for each other." He assured her.

"Thanks.... how did you lose your mum?" She asked softly, avoiding his eyes.

"It was a fire, when I was little. Then I was in foster homes and boarding schools until I came here. How about you?"

"Ummmm... she had a heart attack, I don't know what caused it but, um, we lived on a farm too far away for help to come so a doctor called and tried to help me but all I could do for her was get her to bed before she-" Her voice broke and Leo thought he had pushed her too far but she took a deep breath and kept going. "When she was- well you know... my dad visited me, he was like a hologram and he told me she was fading and he turned some of her essence into Elysium, my goat. Then he sent me here. That happened only a week ago. But Chiron, he told me something that- promise you won't tell anyone, please?"

Leo promised. She was silent for a while, building up her courage.

"He- he told me my dad wasn't a god, my mum was. My mum wanted a mortal life so she became more or less a mortal. Her parents never knew she was a god, just a girl they adopted. She met my dad in America and they had me. But my mum knew she had to leave so she moved to New Zealand to raise me away from all this." She guestured around her. "She didn't have a heart attack, she faded, she was too far away from America to keep her form. She left me Elysium as compensation."

For once, Leo was speechless. Delia had actually been raised by her godly parent. "Then, who was your dad?"

Delia shook her head. "Chiron wouldn't tell me."
