The Lost Daughter

Pink Buildings and Golden Whales!

"No way, is that... Land?!" Felicia shrieked with delight. "Are you hallucinating, again?" I asked. "No, this time it's real! See for yourself!" She said gleefully. I sighed and got up with a groan. But what I saw shocked me. There really was land! It was a beautiful, green, lush island. Hotels and resorts towered in the distance. But a pink one especially stood out. It was 12 stories high with a beach access and a huge pool. Palm trees, koi ponds, and lounge chairs surrounded it.

A guard came down and took us on the top deck. Luke was already there, examining the resort. A sign said "Ka'anapali Beach Club". "Luke, you shouldn't have!" Felicia said. "I didn't." He answered, "Find a place to dock!" He ordered one of his men. "What do you-" He cut her off. "The real beauty is below it." "Like, in the basement?" I asked. I usually didn't talk to him, but he had me suspicious. What would he want to do with a resort like this?

"Yes, the basement hold real power." He said, smiling. A frowned and looked at the building again, but a puff of water blocked my view. It was a whale spout! I had always wanted to see a whale! But it wasn't just any whale. It was a golden one. "What the-?" Felicia said. "Yes, that's right. You've heard of a Colchis Bull. But have you ever heard of a Colchis Whale?" He asked smiling evilly. Then Colchis Whale breached (jumped) right next to the boat, splashing us with water. It had drenched Luke, but only sprayed us.

As he sputtered, Felicia laughed. He glared and wiped his face. "Stupid creatures." He murmured. I stepped forward and asked, "What do you plan to do with that?" "Oh, just sending the camp a little... surprise. A gift, even." He said nonchalantly. The color drained from Felicia's face. "Do you know what that thing could do?" She asked. "Of course I do. That's why I'm sending it to camp." Luke said. "Take them to the front of the boat!" He ordered the guard.

The guard, Trophis, sat us down at the front of the ship as the ship steered toward a near dock. I couldn't bear to think of what Luke was planning...
