Two Bodies, One Soul

Please Knock

Delia

Delia and Kat sat on their bunk, just talking about their favorite moments with Leo and Nico in an effort to cheer each other up.
"Oh, and there was this one time, Nico was trying to show off by standing up in the canoe and next thing you know he was spitting out water with a fish on his head!" Kat recalled.
Delia could envision a sopping wet Nico and cracked up laughing.
"I haven't told anyone really cos well, there was no need. But after our birthday when you were dancing away into the sunset with Nico, Leo took me onto the roof of the bunker for some quiet time and he had this whole picnic set up there-" She began.
"What is it with him and picnics?" Kat interrupted.
"I guess it's the only way to eat together with the camp rules as they are, now hush while I tell the story. Anyway, he gave me this." She pulled out a silver heart locket. "He said that with it he was giving me a piece of his heart to look after forever."
"Awwww!!!!" Kat said sarcastically. "How corny!"
"But adorable!" Delia protested as her sister snatched the locket off her.
Her sister examined the locket. It had a plain silver front and an engraving on the back.
"'Forever my Goddess, always your Repair Boy!' Awwwwww!!!!!!" Her sister read out the engraving teasingly.
"Give it back!" Delia demanded but her sister just held the locket further away from her and opened it. Inside was a picture of Delia that Leo took on the right half, she was sitting on a blanket by the canoe lake in her camp shirt and jeans, her hair loose from being stalked until Leo managed to get a decent photo. The photo on the left was a picture of Leo that Delia took, it was on her birthday when they were sitting on the beach and she'd managed to get a good shot of him, greasy face and all.
"This is adorable!" Kat shrieked, showing her Aphrodite side.
Delia snatched it back and hung it around her neck silently.
"What's adorable?" Chiron asked from the doorway.
"Don't you knock?" Delia complained.
"Delia's locket is!" Kat said, skipping around. "What brings you to our humble abode?" She asked, gesturing around the oversized doll house.
"Ok..." Chiron clearly didn't know how to respond to Kat's weird mood. "I wanted to know why neither of you were at dinner or breakfast?"
Uh, oh.
"We were just about to head over, we slept in." Delia lied.
"And that's why you're still in your pajamas?" He asked. "You can't keep skipping meals like this, you have a duty to lead you cabin mates, and to defend the camp. How can we rely on you if you're too weak to stand?" He demanded.
They looked down at their feet, their happy mood gone.
"Go get a late breakfast and head to archery. I expect you both to be at lunch and then you shall report to the Big House. I expected more from you." He said, leaving the cabin.
Delia felt horrible. She didn't mean to do anything wrong. She just hadn't had an appetite since Leo left. She sighed and got changed into some black jeans, a camp shirt and her arm guard before heading to the pavilion, Kat in tow.
