Tink

Tink wasn't one to get bored easily. But right now she was flat out bored.
The fireworks two nights ago were seriously cool, Tink even got a hot date; Jack Burns from the Apollo cabin! But after that it was back to the same boring routine; eat, train, eat, train, eat, sleep, eat, train, eat, train, eat, sleep.
Tink thought Chiron was taking this whole 'under attack' business way too seriously. Sure, the romans were coming, but not for at least another week! He should still let them have fun!
She was on her way to the archery range when she heard a huge commotion at the dining pavilion. She stopped to check it out.
She found the stoll brothers staring at a letter in the fire pit. The flames weren't burning.
"Connor, give this to Rachel, it's not a trick." Connor read out.
"I think it's a trick." Travis said.
"We should just throw it back in the flames." Conner decided.
Tink pushed her way through the small crowd that had formed.
"Give it here!" She said, snatching the paper away from Connor. "I'll take it to Rachel."
She raced up the hill, grateful for a chance to skip archery, she sucked at it. Annabeth told her she was almost as bad as Percy. Percy must've been really bad.
She reached the cave and entered. Rachel was painting as always, music cranked up so loud Tink couldn't hear the lyrics.
"Letter for you." She said. Passing Rachel the letter and sitting down on the couch. Tink had made friends with Rachel on the tour and she was perhaps one of the only campers who didn't visit her just for prophecies.
Rachel turned down the music and opened the letter. She paled, making her freckles stand out.
"Where did you find this?" Rachel asked.
"The Stolls had it. It appeared in the fire pit." Tink shrugged. "Why?"
"Because it's from Annabeth, sent from in Tartarus." Rachel said.
Tink was glad she was sitting down. How did Annabeth get in Tartarus and how did she send the letter? Tink had a feeling the Aphrodite twins knew.
"I'll go ask the twins if they know what that's about." She said. "The Aphrodite twins, not the Stolls." She added as she jogged down the hill. Unlike usual, the music didn't get turned back up when she left. Rachel was too in shock. Tink silently wondered what the letter said.

Tink couldn't pry any information out of her friends, whenever she brought up the subject they just shut her down. She gave up after two days of trying.

In an attempt to be less bored she escorted Rachel to the roman headquarters to talk.
Tink eyed the romans wearily as she walked past them. These were people she might have to meet on the battlefield.
The doors opened for them as they reached the roof where the romans had agreed to talk to them. Waiting for them was a pretty girl in armour and a purple cloak, her raven hair braided down her back. Next to her was a lanky blonde kid with a sneer on his face. Tink hated him instantly. Behind them were a bunch of teens in bed sheets.
"You got my message?" Rachel asked. Nervously playing with her blue plastic hairbrush.
"That's the only reason you made it this far alive, Graecus. I hope you've come to discuss surrender terms." The blonde kid sneered.
"Octavian...." The girl warned her colleague. Tink figured that she didn't like him either.
"At least search them!" Octavian protested.
"No need, do you bring weapons?" The girl asked.
"I hit Kronos in the eye with thid hairbrush once, otherwise no." Rachel shrugged.
The romans looked at her weird but Tink just smiled. It was Rachel's favourite story to tell.
"And your friends? What happened to coming alone?" The boy sneered. Sneering was all he seemed to be able to do. Maybe he thought it was oppressing. It wasn't.
Rachel shrugged. "That's Tink and Grover." She gestured to Tink and the satyr next to her.
"And why did they come?" The girl asked cooly.
Tink just shrugged. "I was bored."
"So you just figured you'd come into your enemies headquarters for what? Fun?" The lanky dude asked.
"Pretty much." Tink nodded. The blonde looked agast. She gave herself a mental pat on the back.
"Are you unarmed?" The girl asked.
Tink nodded, "I do know judo though, my friend's been teaching me."
"Nice." The older girl grinned in appreciation. Tink liked her.
"What about you?" Octavian asked Grover. "Why are you here?"
"This is Grover Underwood, a member of the council." Rachel said.
"What council?" Octavian demanded.
Uh oh, prepare yourself for a rant.
Tink kinda zoned out and began humming Hedges version of Old McDonald until Rachel nudged her. Everyone was staring at her.
"What? I'm really ADHD." Tink muttered.
Rachel laughed. "It's true! I'm pretty sure Leo's the only one more hyperactive than you.
"Wait, more friends of Leo's?" Octavian groaned.
"Uh, yeah. He's dating one of my bestfriend's." She replied.
"Oh really? Well-" Octavian was cut off by the girl.
"On topic please, can I have the letter?" She asked seriously.
Tink dug the napkin out of her bag and handed it to the girl, Reyna, Rachel had told her earlier.
Reyna read the letter and handed it to the blonde kid. Discussing stuff Tink didn't really understand. She was bored. A different type of bored maybe, but still bored.
She was pulled from her half daydream trance when Rachel started demonstrating her Delphi powers, just showing off.
Tink began to think about how they're gonna stall the rest of the romans until Reyna gets back, that is if she accepts the offer.
"I will do this for Annabeth-" Tink heard Reyna say, that settled it, they needed a plan.
Rachel headed for the stairs, Tink and Grover in tow.
Well that was boring.

Notes

Just a long filler. Tinks mood kinda reflects mine today. I'm a bit sick of holidays. Too boring! Doesn't help that I have to babysit cos mum's working.
The next chapter's about the 10th July when Leo goes missing, but what's gonna happen on Calypso's island if he already has a girlfriend?
Omg I had to do actual research for this and figure out all the dates everything happened! Too much work!
I think it was worth it though!
