Perfect Day

The next day was just as amazing as the one before. She spent all of it with Dakota, cherishing his company and making up for the years he had spent trying to get her attention, she guessed it had worked, without either of them knowing.
They were sitting on the beach after dinner watching the sunset.
"You know, you might be the best javelin thrower I know." Dakota said.
"You know, I think that since you only know Romans, and I beat them plus the Greeks, you might just be right." Kerri acknowledged.
He laughed, a pure happy sound, and Kerri knew that he was the happiest he had been or a while.
"I wish I was good at something like that." He admitted.
"Dude, you haven't seen yourself with a spear then. You're lethal!" She told him.
He laughed again and she leaned over and kissed him again.
A cheer broke out from the bushes behind them and they were attacked by a giggling bunch of Aphrodite and Venus girls, led by Delia and Kat.
"Do you guys, like, have a habit of ambushing people's dates or something?" Kerri asked the twins.
Delia nodded, grinning. "Pretty much."
"Come on, we're gonna have a little impromptu concert in the amphitheater." Kat giggled and they were ushered along amongst a wave of giggling girls.
Kerri grinned and snuck a look at Dakota, who looked embarrassed and way out of his depth. She pushed her hand through the crowd and took it, their fingers lacing together.
They were ushered to some seats in the amphitheater where some other campers were already gathered. Delia made her way to a small stage where some microphones and a drum kit were set up.
"Hey, guys! So, we haven't really got anything planned, we just thought it'd be fun to share some of our musical talent as well as our combat skill. I'll start with a song, requests?" Delia said to the audience.
"Dark horse!" Someone called from the audience.
"Ok, can I please welcome the band, they call themselves the 'AB's' short for 'Apollo Boys'." A bunch of Kerri's old pursuers ran onto the stage, Smile 1 was on guitar, Smile 2 was on keyboard and Bush was on drums.
Kerri swayed to the music as the band started playing and Delia broke into song, she was really good! A bunch of teens started dancing in front of the stage and Kerri got Dakota to dance with her.
They swayed to the music together, her head against his heart and arms encasing her in his warmth. The perfect end to the perfect day.

My teachers didn't give me much homework so I'll update tomorrow and probably Monday while I'm at my mum's work. Two days until my braces come off! :D
