Two Bodies, One Soul

Let's Pretend- (Epilouge)

Delia

Delia raced up the hill, laughing with glee as she inhaled the fresh spring air.
"Come on, Leo!" She called down at her boyfriend, who was struggling up the hill with a picnic basket.
"Not all of us are half-goat, you know!" He called back up, puffing from exertion.
"Yeah, Delia. You could at least slow down a bit!" Piper protested as she clambered up the lumpy ground.
"Nah!" Delia giggled, sprinting to the top and picking out the perfect picnic spot for a (as Leo put it) "Yay we didn't all get destroyed by Mother Nature!" picnic.
The others all made it to the top behind her and collapsed on the ground, puffing.
"You know, for people who are the supposed heroes of the world, you really aren't that fit." Kat scrutinized.
Percy glared at her from where he had collapsed beside Annabeth. "Not our fault! We spent most of our time on board that boat that your boyfriend here built for us. There was a notable lack of a gym." He protested.
"Don't look at me!" Leo said. "I wanted to include a gym but Annabeth told me that there wasn't room for one below decks!"
Percy turned his glare to Annabeth and she held up her hands in surrender. "Well there wasn't!"
"Calm down guys, jeez!" Hazel said, helping her brother lay out the picnic blanket.
"Jason, Frank, help me here?" Piper asked, pulling out her cornucopia and beginning to lay out a feast.
Once the feast was layed out in front of them, they sat in a circle and began digging in.
"Where are we, anyway?" Frank asked Nico, who had transported them all there.
"Who cares?" Percy asked through a mouthful of blue pancakes.
"Percy, eat with your mouth closed." Annabeth ordered.
"Yes ma'am." He said, shutting his mouth.
"We're somewhere in California, I think." Nico said.
"Oh, specific!" Percy said sarcastically.
"Percy..." Annabeth warned. Percy shut his mouth immediately.
Delia piled some fresh strawberries onto her plate as they inevitability continued bickering on nonsense topics. The saviors of the world being normal teenagers for once.
Leo leaned over from beside her and whispered in her ear. "I'm sorry we won't ever get our happily ever after."
Delia smiled and whispered back. "I know, but for now, let's pretend that it's possible."
"Yes," he replied, "Lets pretend."
So they did.
