Life of a Legacy

We stayed at my grandparents for a week before my parents decided to go back to camp. Mom found time to IM Chiron and tell him what happened, so now everyone at camp knows that I'm coming home. I told Grandma Sally and Grandpa Paul that I would talk to them when I could and gave them big hugs before I left. I took Dad's hand as we walked down the street, looking for a good spot to call some pegasi. A mortal stopped us once and asked us for directions to somewhere. Mom and Dad started a conversation with her and I zoned out. I guess they introduced me, because the mortal looked down at me and said something.

"I bet you can't wait to get home, huh? Here I am talking up a storm and what not," she said. I just held Dad's hand tighter and hid behind him.

"Nara, say hello," Mom said in Ancient Greek.

"Geiá sou," I said. The mortal looked shocked.

"Oh, we're Greek. Our daughter doesn't know much english," Dad lied. The mortal said okay and goodbye then walked away.

We reached an abonded ally and Dad whisitled and moments later two pegasi came down. One was a mocha colored one, her name was Coffee, and Blackjack came down. I'm pretty sure Blackjack was about to jump out of his skin when he saw me.

Little Mistress! I haven't seen you in a while. What's going on? Blackjack said.

Nothing, I'm fine. I responded. Cool! Hey Master, let me carry Little Mistress, he asked Dad.

Go ahead. Just stay close to us and head straight for camp. Dad said. I climbed on Blackjack and my parents got on Coffee.

Blackjack took off and began to catch me up on all of the things he's done. I was glad to hear things were going well for him, and I forced a smile just for him. We got to camp just as Blackjack ended his story about how he had a pound of sugar infused with his hay and didn't sleep for three days. Once we landed at the camp borders, I slipped off of Blackjack and told him I would catch him later. He nieghed happily and took off in the sky while Coffe trotted back to the stables. I barely got down the hill when every camper who stayed year round showed up. I heard questions from "Are you okay?" to "Who kidnapped you?". Then Chiron and Mr. D parted the crowd came forward. Mr. D told everyone to go back to their activities.

"So, nice to see you're back Naomi. See you later," Mr. D said. Then he went in a different direction. Chiron shook his head and mumbled something before meeting my eyes and giving me a smile. He knelt down and I ran up to him, giving him a big hug then he ruffled my hair.

"I'm so glad to see you, Nara. We've missed you," he said.

"I missed you too," I said. He tried to say something but then stopped. He had on his camp shirt and a quiver.

"Well, whenever you feel like it, you may return to camp activities. I have to go and teach a class right now, I will see you later," he said. Then he trotted off. I was happy to be back, but I was scared out of my mind. Part of my was happy to see camp, the other part was scared that Voice would come back. I fainted.
