Life of a Legacy

I Find Out Who Kidnapped Me

I didn't do anything for weeks: I didn't eat much, shower, do my hair, or even changed my clothes. I was too scared to even think, let alone move from the bed. Voice came and laughed at me everyday, telling me that I was doomed to die sooner or later. I had stopped crying in order to catch my breath when Voice's hand grabbed me and lifted me up. I never could actually see Voice's hand, it was always shadowy and misty and some how solid enough to always grab me so tight I would wince in pain. I was pulled out of the cave and tossed into another bag.

"Just so you don't get any ideas, I'm taking you with me. I have to go somewhere and I don't want my little child to dissapear," Voice said.

I was too scared and weak to say anything, I just curled up and cried myself to sleep. When I woke up, I herd a deep man voice and a sweet woman voice. I couldn't make out what they were saying, all I knew was that they where my only chance to get help. I was too scared to even cry. I knew Voice would just beat me again, that's all it did since I sent the Iris Message to my parents. I knew they were looking for me. I was getting weaker and more scared by the day. I was loosing hope. I began to think of ways for me to painlessy die. I was so deep into thought, my father's voice scared me a little.

"WHERE IS MY DAUGHTER?" he yelled.

"Son, we can't answ-" Poesidon, I assumed, said. Poesdion? But that means...no way. Then I heard Dad's voice.

"Nara went missing a MONTH ago! I have asked you guys every day to look for her! The best thing you can tell me is that you couldn't find her in the few caves you've looked into?" he sounded angry.

"Percy Jackson, over five hundred cave's isn't enough?" the same deep voice from early said.

"Zeus, your a god! Five hundred years means nothing to you, but looking in five hundred caves is too much? My daughter, the most dangerous Legacy alive, thank you very much, is missing and this is the best thing you can do?" he said. Zeus?

"Percy we-" the sweet woman voice from earlier said.

"Hera! Can it!" Daddy said.

I was so scared, I began to twirl my ring. My ring. I am such an idiot! I've had my ring the whole time, but I was so scarred to completly think about it. I shifted in my bag so my back was leaning away from Voice. I had my right hand forward, then slid my ring off, stabbing Voice. Voice screamed and tossed me across the floor. I screamed in pain as I fell on the floor then I cried for a little while. Then I saw light. I turned to see a pair of sea green looking at me. Daddy. He quickly grabbed me and hugged me as I cried some more.

"You're alive," he said. I herd some one screaming, then I turned to see Lady Hera holding her arm with Inchor flowing. I began to sob lighter and talk.

"Y-y-y-you kidnapped me Lady Hera?" I managed to ask. She just held her arm where I stapped her and gave me a death stare.

"You were too dangerous to be left out there," she said plainly. The gods looked like they were ready to argue. That's when Daddy picked me up and face them.

"I have to go. My daughter has been away for a month and a half and I think she wants some blue sugar cookies. Have a nice day."

Dad carried me out of the Olympus throne room. Every one hurried away from us as if we where some sort of diease. I put my head in his chest so I didn't have to look anyone in the eye. I didn't look up until I herd a dinging sound along with some music and I looked up to see that I was in an elevator. When it opened, a security guard was waiting for us. The floor was empty and dark, I guess it was well past closing time. The guard looked like he wanted to say something, but stopped and lead us out. No one paid attention to a tired father carrying his messed up looking little girl down the street, thankfully. We walked all the way to Grandma Sally's apartment. Once we got in, Mom raced to me, pried me from Dad, and collapsed on the floor with me.

"Nara, I was so scared. Don't you ever scare me like that again, please?" she sobbed.

"I won't Mom, I promise. I missed you guys." We got up and Dad hugged both of us. After a while, we went to the kitchen, where I saw Grandma Sally, her hair was completly gray, and Grandpa Paul, his hair was also completly gray. They hugged me too and told me how happy they were that I was alive. At the word alive, I began to shake and cry into Mom's chest.

"I'm so sorry," I said.

"There's nothing to be sorry for. I'm just so glad your alive," she said calmly.

"I-I-I-I'm s-s-s-s-s-sor-r-ry," I kept on saying, well sobbed.

I cried and I did not stop. I don't know how long I was crying for, I just know that my parents took turns holding me, trying to get me to calm down. Mom once began to rectie Shakespear, one of my favorite authors. That didn't help. Once, Dad tried to tell me about his battles, but hearing about the gods didn't make me feel any better. The more I cried, to more guilty I felt and the more guilty I felt the more I cried. It was a bad cycle. It was past midnight now, and I was still crying my eyes out. Dad was pacing the room with me on his hip when Mom came in to relieve him, I thought. Instead, Mom put The Princess Bride in the DVD player and grabbed some blankets then sat down on the couch. Dad settled down next to her and placed me in between them. I didn't stop crying until I saw Buttercup and Wesely make it out of the Fire Swamp and I fell asleep about three minuets later.

I woke and herd my parents talking.

"Should we change her bandages now? She's asleep so it would be easier," Dad said. I turned and faced him and he gave me a smile. "Never mind, she's up." Mom came in with some bandages in her hand. She knelt next to me and smiled.

"Hey Nara. We're just going to change some bandages, okay?" she said. Her tone soft and low. She changed the soaked bandages on my arms, legs and stomach. I winced the whole time wich wasn't helping Mom out. It was so bad, Dad had to hold me down. When she was done, I tried to get up. As soon as my feet touched the ground I felt nauseous and fell to the floor. Dad picked me up and placed me on the couch.

"I don't feel so good," I moaned.

"Just try to go to sleep. We'll see you in the morning," he said. I leaped up and grabbed his neck.

"Don't leave me please? I'm scared. Voice is coming back. Voice is mad at me," I said.

"Don't worry," Mom told me, "your safe now. Hera won't get you-"

"Not Hera, Voice. I-I-I couldn't tell if the voice was a girl or a boy, so I named the voice Voice. I don't want Voice to find me. Please Daddy, I'm sorry." I cried again. He tucked me in and held my hand until I fell asleep again. I had dreams of being in Voice's cave.
