Making Decisions

Chiron came forward and by the look on his face, I just knew I was in trouble. He trotted over to me and asked what happened. Tyler had answered for me and I just crossed my arms and tried to gather my thoughts. I herd of the Hunters and I knew that they rarely came to camp and they weren't here when I left in the morning. I was too deep in my own thoughts that I barely noticed that Chiron began to talk to me.

"Fiona, maybe you should take a brake right now," he said.

"Fine," I said and walked away before anyone could say anything to me. I was on my way to my cabin and saw Nico sitting down in the showdows of the dining pavilion. I walked over to him and he was sobbing a little.

"Nico?" I said. He just looked at me with mean look in his eyes. He then looked sorry and put his head in his knees. I joined him. "So, the Hunters are here?"

"Yeah. Artemis had to take care of something on Mount Olympus, so they came here," he said it bitterly. I didn't notice it, all I remembered was the Bianca. When she went for rebirth her dad, Hades, turned her back into her regular self and she rejoined the Hunters.

"Hey," I said getting happy. "Where's Bianca?"

Nico sighed. "She's gone. When Hades returned her, the gift was temporairly. She only managed to keep it lond enough to see me and Hazel. She went back to the Underworld. Everything that belongs to the Underworld will return there," he said, not even trying to hide his saddness. I just hugged him and tried not to cry myself. I met Bianca when I was back in Deleware and at school. She was the only friend I had and I didn't even know who she really was. I wanted to see her so badly, but I guess I couldn't now.

"Well, can you still see her, like summon her?"

"She chose rebirth again," he said. Then he tried to add some happiness to his voice. "So, how's school?" I smiled and told him about my recital and Ms. Payton.

"Wow, that's pretty cool. My last teacher turned out to be a manticore. You are pretty lucky," he said, trying to sound upbeat. I could hear how hard it was for him, so I smiled at him in his efforts.

"I guess. I just hope I stay lucky until they leave," I said.

"Why?"

"Oh, when I went to the range for practice and Thalia fired an arrow at Tyler's head. I deflected it and shot one of mines at her. Two hunters attacked me and I got them back. I don't think they'll wan't to deal with me," I said. Nico just gave me a wide eyesd look.

"You fought the Hunters and didn't get creamed? You must have some serious skills," he said.

"Well I don't know about skill, but I do know that you were suppose to keep an eye on Sunny while I was at school," I replied. Nico whistled and Sunny came over and leaped on me. I petted my golden retriever and told him I missed him.

"So how did Tyler respond to you finding out that your teacher was a demigod?" Nico asked.

"I didn't tell him, he was busy with Lilly." I didn't even look up from Sunny.

Nico got and beckoned for me to follow. As we walked by, I couldn't help but notice how everyone try to avoid Nico. I don't understand why no one wanted to be around him, he was a walking shadow and he could talk to the dead. How is that not cool? I mean, come on. I get how he can look a little bit disturbing with his all black outfit, pale skin and dark baggy eyes, but he is a nice guy once you get to know him. He never minded when I rambled on and asked a billion questions or even I pried about Bianca. I only knew her for a while, but she was mysterious, just like her brother. We walked to the sword areana only to see Lilly and Tyler arguing, again. Nico quicky took my hand and lead me to the volley ball court. We saw a few campers and a few Hunters. Thalia was thrashing the campers with the volley ball and they looked like they were winning, causing the campers to storm off. I knew Nico wouldn't want to go near them, so I told him I would catch him later.

I walked over to the Hunters and asked if I could play with them. A Hunter with short brown hair and blue eyes joined me. She said her name was Amber and she looked about fourteen. Thalia was with a girl who was about my age with blonde hair and almound hair and a little scar on her cheek and her name was Janis. We played volley ball for almost two hours and we still managed to tie. They seemed impressed enough to apologize for almost killing Tyler and I said it was okay. Thalia and Amber went off and gave Janis permission to stay with me. We hung out all after noon and she was a pretty amazing person. She said she was nine and that she had joined the Hunters about five years ago. She told me about how amazing the Hunters were and I got interested at imortality. I didn't realize how hungry I was until the dinner horn sounded. I told Janis I would see her later and I went to the join the Apollo cabin in line. After we gave our offerings and thaked the gods, we dug in. I was telling Tyler all about Janis, until I realized he wasn't paying me attention. He seemed distracted.

"Tyler, are you listening to me?" I asked.

"Yeah, you made some new friends at school, that's nice," he said. He didn't even look at me. I knew something was wrong.

"Tyler what's wrong?" He finally turned to face me.

"Fiona, nothings wrong. Just thinking about capture the flag, that's all," he lied. I hated being lied to, and that's all he has been doing lately. I ate my dinner in silence.

After dinner, Chiron announced that for capture the flag would be the Hunters versus Camp Half-Blood, which consisted of fifteen campers. I put my armor on and went to the woods opening was where we set up our flag. I was responsible for guarding the flag with Denny, a buff girl form the Ares cabin. Lilly offered, but luckly everyone thought that would be a bad idea. It killed me everyone at camp knew what was going on with them except for me. Anyway, I was on guard with Denny when we heard footsteps. I knocked and arrow and pointed it in the direction of the sound. Denny said she was going to go check it out.

"That's no a good idea," I warned her.

"I don't need an ignorant little girl to tell me what to do," she snapped before she ran off. I knew it was a trap. Not to long after she ran off, I heard her yell and a net clasps. Then three Hunters came out of the woods.

"Step away and we will save you the shame," one said. I shot an arrow at her and she dodged it. The hunters advance and drew their daggers. I began to fight them with, protecting my flag. One was down and I had two of them focused on me. I began to lead them away from our flag, our weapons clashing in the night. It wasn't until it was too late did the they realize what I was doing. I enjoyed to look of shock as our team came across the creek with their silver flag. I thought we would celebrate until Tyler looked at my hands and snapped at me.

"Fiona! Where did you get a dagger?!" he snapped.

"What are you-" then I realized I was holding something. I looked down to see a celestial bronze dagger. It was only a foot long and had a leather grip. I remebered my bag. "Allagí." Then my dagger shimmered and changed into my bow. I was amazed, unlike Tyler.

"Fiona, I told you know swords or daggers. You could of been hurt. You don't even know how too use it!"

"Zitto!" I snapped.

"Guarda la tua bocca!" he said right back.

"Vai a Hades!" I screamed. Everyone looked at us with wide eyes, tying figure out what we were saying. No one else but Nico Di Angelo knew Tyler and my mom was Italian and that we spoke Italian. Tyler looked hurt when I told him to go to Hades, but he was being a jerk. I stormed out of the woods and went to the beach. I pulled out a gold drachma and made a rainbow then a silent prayer to Goddess Iris.

"Annabeth Chase, Hawaii," I said. The image changed and then I saw Annabeth in a bathroom. She was wearing a blouse and jeans and looked happy. I hadn't seen her in a month, sense I was the flower girl at her wedding. I didn't want to interrupt her honeymoon, but I needed to talk to her.

"Annabeth!" I said. She turned around and smiled at me.

"Hey Fiona! How's it going?" she said.

"I'm fine," I lied. I wasn't going to ruin her happiness because I was sad. "I just wanted to tell you about how my English teacher is a daughter of Athena. Her name is Suzie Payton and you might want to meet her."

"I'll look into that," she said. I herd Percy call her and Annabeth turned red. I got the idea that they wanted to be alone and watch a movie or something.

"I leave you guys alone. Have fun on you vacation!"

"I will. See you later, Fiona!" she said. She moved her hand through the mist and the image faded. I didn't want to go to the camp fire, so I went to my cabin where Sunny was. He jumped on me as soon as I opened the door. I changed into my pajamas and laid down in my bed. It wasn't until about ten minuets late did the rest of my cabin come in. I pretended to be asleep to avoid talking to them. Specifically, shaggy midnight blue dodo heads who had hazel eyes! Of course, Tyler tried to talk to me.

"Fiona, are you okay?" he asked. I laid perfectly still. "Fine, I deserve the silent treatment. See you in the morning." I fell asleep, resisting the urge to climb out of my bed and yell some more mean Italian things at him.
