Making Decisions

My Girlfiend Loses Her Mind

Every time I talk to Fiona, she acts distant and upset with me. I could take most of that blame and Lilly could take the rest. I was so distracted by her new attitude that it was starting to mess with my head all of the time. Not to mention that the Hunters seemed to have it in for me. Well they don't like campers and especially boys, but they seemed to want my head off in particular. Once, the hunters were making with some traps, only I didn't know that. So when I went with one to "see what was wrong with Fiona and Lilly," I got hung upside down by my leg in a tree.

To make things worse, when I warned Fiona to stay away from them, she told me Ho il mio fratello vita! I have no idea what's going on with her and Lilly's not making it any easier. Today after lunch, I decided to hang out with Lilly and attempt to have a normal date for the first time in weeks. We were in the woods having a picnic and talking like regular demigods couples. At first, things were going well. We were on a blanket lying down and Lilly was telling me about her farm. We were actually having a great time. Then we had to talk about Demeter.

"My favorite part about my farm is when the pumpkins get ripe. Pa says that it's what attracted my ma," she said with her cute country accent.

"Really? I thought that Demeter would of liked wheat more than pumpkins," I said. Lilly shot up and crossed her arms. I sighed and got up too with her back to me. "What did I say this time?"

"You called her Demeter. I told you, my ma is Ceres," she said. I rolled my eyes.

"Lilly, your being crazy again." She turned around and gave me a glare.

"Like hell I am! You know damn right that my ma is Ceres."

"Here we go again!" Of course I said something smart like that. She grew so red I thought she might just burst.

"You asshole! I told you that I don't feel like I'm a Greek and you wont even support me!"

"I do support you."

"Then say yes."

"Lilly, I don't know about it."

"You said you wanted to live a normal life. Move to New Rome with me," she said with a soft
voice.

"Look, I-I don't feel like you. I know I'm Greek and moving to New Rome wouldn't be good for me," I said. She rolled her eyes.

"Your just saying that because you don't want to drag Fiona with us. I told you the gal would be fine right here."

"That's not it! I've been taking care of her for her whole life. She's my full blood sister, and I can't imagine leaving her here for the rest of her life."

"Fiona is more than welcomed to come with us," she said plainly.

"Fiona is not going to New Rome. Especially if it means that she can't come back to Camp Half-Blood," I said.

"There you go again. You have your own life to live! You need to let her do what she wants and you need to think about us and what we need!"

"We aren't even eighteen! You just turned sixteen! We need to stay at camp and you need to get your ass off your high horse! You walk around here like your better than everyone else when your not!" I said. Her face was blank, sad, then it went stern.

"I'm leaving this Greek camp in ten days. I'm leaving right before breakfast. With or without you. You have until then to make your decision. If you chose to stay here, I never want to see you again. Ten days Tyler," and with that she stormed away from me.

I made a silent prayer to the gods to help me and Lilly. I cleaned up the picnic and trudge back to camp. I went to the volley ball court and I saw Fiona hanging out with Hazel, which made me smile. Jason, Piper, Frank and Hazel came back to camp a month ago and they were pretty chill and all. Hazel and Fiona got along right away and it was nice to see that someone was closer to Fiona's age at camp make friends with her. I wanted to walk down there and talk to her, but the laughter made me turn around. Just because I was going through hell doesn't mean I have to drag Fiona into it.

I went to the forges and sat outside and waited for Olami(O-la-me). About five minuets later, she came out with soot all over her clothes. Her short black hair was in braids and they rested on her shoulder and she had copper colored wide eyes. When she saw me, she took some of her soot and smashed it in my hair. I pulled her by her arm, causing her to roll over the floor. If we weren't best friends, I'm pretty sure this wouldn't be as funny.

"Looks like someone is beginning to lose their touch," she teased.

"Whatever," I snickered. We helped each other up and I told her about my argument with Lilly.

"Holy Hephaestus, you've got to be kidding me?" Olami said with disbelief.

"I wish I was," I admitted. "Lilly is loosing her mind. I know for a fact that I'm not going to New Rome, but I still want to work things out with her."

"Well, looks like you have to pick one or the other," Olami said with a hint of a sass and bitterness. I would never tell her this, but Olami was a little bit adorable when she was jealous.

"Thanks for making this better on me," I said.

"Sorry. So, are things working out with you and Fiona?"

"The first time in a week, she didn't shout goccia morti at me, so we're making progress."

"Gucci Maury?"

"Goccia morti. It's Italian for drop dead."

"Wow, that's harsh."

"Yeah." We had changed the subject and talked about every other thing except for my messed up life. We had lost track of time because the dinner horn sounded. We rushed back to our cabins and got ready to eat dinner.
