Leo Dies at the End

Taylor's POV:


Annabeth sat down her stuff when Leo had to go pee. Taylor sighed and did the same as Annabeth.
"Leo knows bad timing," She stated, taking off her shoe, setting it on the ground and caressing her foot.
"We aresoclose." They were practically in the shadow of the mountain at the center of the Rock Island.
Leo was pretty good looking. He had this... scruffy look. He had elf ears, and messed up clothes. He always smelled like smoke, which reminded Taylor of her grandmother (Who always smoked.)
She always kind of liked the smell, despite how bad it was for her grandmother.
No, she thought.I'm dating Dante. She started thinking about Dante, who could get mad easily, but he was still pretty cool.
Taylor kept thinking about Dante. She only realized Annabeth until she was standing in front of her.
"Taylor!" She yelled, waving her hands in front of her face.
"Oh, um, sorry. Just thinking. Is something wrong?" Taylor asked, brushing her hair behind her ear.
Annabeth rolled her eyes.
"Leo's been taking a break for a while. So, I went over to look for him, and he isn't there. I'm going to look for him." She dropped her bag, and started walking off.
"Hey, i'll help you, but shouldn't we take our stuff?" She asked, trying to catch up with Annabeth.
"I'm not going to go far. Just past the clearing." She said, not stopping.

"OK, it's been two hours! how have we not found our stuff!" Annabeth questioned, frustrated.
"I could have sworn it was here!"
Taylor decided to sit down on a log.
But she didn't stay there for long.
"Annabeth! Look out!" Taylor yelled. She quickly turned around, but got hit by a giant black hand.
She flew across the clearing, and landed next to a large tree.
"I have you know." It yelled. Every where the...thingwent, shadows followed. it practically swallowed light.
Taylor couldn't see much about it, because it was completely black.
Taylor decided to go up to it and drew her sword.
She got two good stabs before the monster grabbed Taylor. As soon as he did that, her vision went back.
The monster threw her as well. After it let go, her vision returned.
She hit the ground hard, but got up right afterward.
Something else was moving behind the shadow.... Leo!" She yelled. He kept moving without even hearing her. The monster still had her sword, and decided it would be better if there was Leo by her side. Maybe he carried a sword in that tool belt.
Taylor ran up to him, and said once again "Leo! I thought you were dead!"
She wrapped him in a hug.
"Yeah, I got scared you guys got fed up with me. Where is Annabeth?" He asked.
Uh-Oh. She completely forgot about Annabeth.
"She's-' Taylor felt a sharp pain in her side, and looked down.
There was a sword in her stomach, and it was going through her stomach into Leo's.
Oh No. Taylor knew the sword. It was hers.
Then there was a familiar laugh, Annabeth's.
Then it clicked.
She couldn't remember the name of it. "Lord of darkness" or something. But the monster could take over the bodies of half bloods.
And it took over Annabeth.
The sword was pulled out of her, and she fell down, barely conscious.
Taylor got a last glimpse of Annabeth staring at Leo, who was holding his wound.

The last thing she saw was Leo fall down next to her.
