The Librarian
Arrival
A hand shook me awake and I peeled myself from the sofa in the cabin of the swaying boat. I rubbed grit from my eyes, my head groggy. "What?" I asked, my tongue still half-asleep.
Nico leaned down to press a pair of warm lips to my forehead and smooth down the hair that had tangled overnight. "We've arrived." He said.
"What, already?" I asked, startled.
He laughed and kissed me in a way that made me know that I had said something stupid. "You've been asleep for two days, sweetheart."
I shoved at his chest lightly. "Don't call me sweetheart. Where have we arrived, exactly?"
He grinned and wrapped my hand in his, pulling me to my feet. "Why don't you come and see?"
I followed him out onto the deck, squinting in the sharp light. Ahead of us a beach was ringed with lumpy sand dunes and past that... I stared at Nico in shock, he wore the widest smile I'd ever seen on his face.
"Seriously?" I gasped.
He nodded and I stared in awe as our boat neared Camp Half-Blood.
Notes
Here's a little chapter I just wrote up. It may make next to no sense but I am tired and really not ready to go back to dancing 7 hour days *sighs*. Anyway, I hope you like it! :)Echo will be doing the next chapter!
