The Two That Went Missing
Chapter 6: Piper
What was with this girl? Why was she being all moody, when I asked to show her around camp? She strolled behind me, while I pointed out the big house, where we had just come from and the strawberry fields, she just smiled and nodded. I showed her to the stables and then to the cabins, we came up to the Apollo cabin, it was shining gold and I knocked on the door. The head counselor opened the door, Will Solace. He smiled, with his charming blues eyes and blonde hair,
“What can I do for ya Piper?” he asked, I smiled
“Hi Will, this is Julia, her dad’s Apollo, I was wondering if you have an extra bunk for her, she'll be leave tomorrow anyway.” Will smiled and moved out of the way,
“Yeah sure, come in” we walked in, Julia slowly came in behind me, she looked around
“Cozy” she said, she looked over at Will,
“ Well, here's an extra bunk, theres some extra t-shirts in the chest, where you can put stuff too and yeah.” he said with a smile,
“Ok” she said throwing her backpack down, she looked around.
“Do you want to finish the tour or stay here?” I asked, she looked over at me,
“Sure, why not, oh thank you” she said looking at Will,
“Anytime” he said walking back to his bunk, she throw off her jacket looked and over at me.
I walked out the door and she followed. Then, we started walking to the climbing wall,
“Hey... are you alright?” I asked, since we left the big house, she been quiet and uneasy,
“What, uh no im fine” she said looking around then back at her feet,
“Is something wrong?” I asked, I didn’t want to push her any further, she looked over at me.
"I knew it would happen, I knew it and it did!” she pushed back her side bang and sighed.
“I knew if we came here, something would happen, we meet our parents or we might find a long lost sibling, and what happened Sarah meets her long lost brother!” she yelled,
“ and now we can’t leave and have to stay here” she pulled out a pair of sunglasses and put them on, was she glowing?
“ what are you talking about? Leo might not ever be Sarah’s brother, well full brother and no one is making you stay” I said, walking next to her, she looked down and laughed,
“Of course they are, they have the same last name and looked identical, now that she found her family, we are gunna have to stay here” she said looking up, as we crossed the bridge, a bunch of kids from Ares cabin with swords and spears in hand, passed by us.
“Whats the matter with the camp?” I asked, she smiled and took off her sunglasses and looked at me.
“ Sarah and I, we run away from 39 orphanages, since we were 7, we don’t belong anywhere!” she said, I looked over at her, she was glowing.
"but this is where you belong, you're a demigod! Just like the rest of us!” I said putting a little charmspeak into, she smiled
“ah, a charm speaker are we? yeah, but some many people have told us this, these people are perfect for you! You’ll love it here! I just don't see a home for us anywhere, we always been on the run, from monsters and people.” How did she know I was a charm speaker? I brushed it off and smiled.
“ Well, no one is making you stay here, but we loved if you did, and i'm sure, you’ll liked it here.” I said with confidence, who couldnt love it here? We had made it to the climbing wall and then we headed to the mess hall with camp fire, I looked over at her, she seemed better, but not completely comfortable, I tried to shake off the topic and think of something else.
“ Oh yeah, I forgot to ask, you said your mom is famous? if you don’t wanna talk about, its fine if you don’t” I said turning to her, she smiled
“ Oh, that bitch, yeah, when she was my mother, she was Lisa Brander, but she didn't like that name, so she changed it to Keira Knightley” I looked at her,
“The Keira Knightley?” I asked stunned, she laughed
“ Yeah, when I was 6 her career had taken off and I was too much to handle, I can't wait till the day, I get to beat the bitch to pieces.” she said with a grin, I smiled
“Well, you're not the only one, my dad is Tristan Mclean” she looked at me,
“The dude from that Sparta movie!?” she asked with a grin, I smiled
“Yeah, thats him”
“Oh man, I love that guy, he chopped peoples head off and stuff!” she said pretending to cut off someones head, at least she was opening up a little, we walked up to the mess hall, it was mostly empty beside a couple people sitting and talking and Clovis, the son of Hypnos, sleeping on the table. We walked up to him and I nudged his arm,
“ Clovis, wake up” I said nudging him, finally he woke up, after me almost pushing him off the seat he sat up and looked around, then at Julia,
“ Why, hello there, and who might you be?” he asked standing up and smiling.
"I'm Julia, and you have a little drool on the corner of your mouth” she said with a giggle, he quickly try to clean his mouth, we stood there laughing at him, soon after he cleaned his mouth, there was a huge explosion outside of the mess hall, we all ran out, as we saw Sarah and Leo standing next to a huge fire.
