The End Of The World

Chapter 3
I plucked up Alley and ran to the exit like I have never ran before. Alley whimpered, and clutched my shirt. I held her tight and kept running. The building fell and I huddled in a ball to protect Alley. The building fell down on us, and my back felt like it spilt open.
Alley was crying, and then it cut short on the noise of the building falling to the ground. I shut my eyes tight and clutched her body. Finally, the building stopped falling and I was buried under it. I could hear cries all around me, and I began yelling for help. Dust choked me, and I could feel the pressure of the rubble on my back.
"Jack?" A voice asked. "Help!" I yelled. "Jack?! Where are you?!" The voice yelled. "Here! Help! I'm under rubble!" I yelled. The debris shifted a bit, but I was way to deep. "Jack?" The voice asked.
I began pushing the debris away from me, but more fell down. "Stop!" I yelled. "The debris is crushing me!!!" The voice was silent, and it heard shouts and talking. Then, silence. I waited silently, my heart thumping. Suddenly, it was too quiet.
"Hello?!!" I yelled.
"Help!"
"Help me!"
"Owwww..."
"Anyone?"
Voices answered all around me. I began moving again, this time upwards. Alley clutched my body. More debris fell on my face. I kept going, and finally pushed through and rain fell down. I moved out of the rubble, and tried to ignore the blood trail I left.
"Hello?" I called over the empty city.
"Help!"
"Jack!"
"Help me!"
"Help *coff* me!"
"Is someone there!"
"I can't breath!"
I went toward the noise that yelled my name. I shifted through the rubble, and found Rico crumpled in a ball. He crawled out and hugged me. "Thank you!" I nodded, "No prob. Now let's rescue more poor souls."
We shifted through the rubble and found Lizzie, Demeter's daughter. We kept searching, but couldn't find anyone else.
"We should go." Lizzie whispered. Suddenly, a body crawled out of the debris. It was Marco! "Marco!" I yelled. He shakily got up, "What's up?"
I laughed, and hugged him. "Guys, no more bromance. Let's go." Lizzie said. I nodded and we began walking into the city. Ashley seemed fine, as if I took the brunt of the building.
We heard moans and cries all around us. Not once did we stop. We knew they were going to die. Suddenly, ahead we saw Nisha. She was clutching her leg and crying.
"Nisha!" I yelled and ran up to her. Her arm had a huge gash in it, and she was covered in dust and dirt. "J-Jack!" She said. I smiled and sat next to her. "What happened?" I asked.
"I couldn't find you, so I ran and... and a debris hit me." She said, looking at her arm. I nodded, "I'm sorry." She shook her head, "I should have saved you." I smiled, "But I'm fine. Come one, we have to keep moving."
She stood, and together we made our way through New York City. Mortals were dead everywhere and some where laying in the street moaning. The rain NEVER stopped, and I began to miss the blue sky.
"Up ahead! Let's take refuge in that abandon restraunt!" Marco yelled. We bolted toward the restraunt. Suddenly, lightning shot down I front if me, and I flew back. My clothes smoked and Nisha ran up to me, "Jack!"
I mumbled something like never better. She helped me up, and I limped inside. Lizzie and Alley were laying on some tables, and Marco and Rico were exploring. I lay down on a table too, and fell asleep. This time, I had a dream.
Zeus was screaming at Poseidon, and Hades was fighting Athena. All the gods were fighting each other, and demigods alike were dead. Why are they fighting? "GIVE ME MY TRIDENT!!!" Poseidon shouted. "NEVER!!!" Zeus yelled.
The dream faded, and Nisha stood over me, "Get up sleepy head. We got food." My stomach rumbled in response and I grinned. The storm raged outside, but everyone seemed calm. A dog was under a table. It was white with a black splotch on its head.
"Who's he?" I asked, petting the dog. "Buddy. We found him shivering in the rain. Sweet pup." Nisha said, patting its head. Lizzie gave me some rolls, and I ate them quickly.
A body was moving through the rain outside. "I'll be right back. Watch Alley." I told Nisha, and left. The rain pounded me, and I went into the street. A man was limping and muttering strange things.
"You okay?" I asked. He collapsed, and I picked him up. His eye so glazed over and he muttered, "Earthquake..." Then, he died in my arms. I dropped him, but looked at the ground. Earthquake? Suddenly, the ground started shaking. A great thundering noise pierced the air.
I ran toward the restraunt, when the floor broke away in front of me. I fell into the pit, and broke my leg. The ground trembled and shook, a horrible thundering noise hurt my ears.
I fell to the ground, and began shaking with the ground. Dirt began falling on me, and I huddled in a ball as the Earth moved and shifted. Suddenly, there was silence and I huddled in a ball.
Yells and shouts filled the air, but I couldn't speak. My body seemed broken and dirty. I lay motionless in the pit, and saw nothing but blackness.
