After the Battle
Summary
During the final battle with Gaea, Percy sacrificed himself to save everyone else. Everyone is having trouble . . . coping.
Frank and Jason are inconsolable, as they both irrevocably blame themselves. Grover, Rachel, and Tyson are so far into their grief they don't know if they can find a way out. The gods have not been in contact, especially not Poseidon. The camp itself is letting in rain, and even the Romans are dressed in black, using hushed voices, their eyes glossy. Nico has gone completely AWOL, and Leo thinks it's his duty to sale to Calypso, free her, and tell her what became of the man she used to love. Even Chiron is acting erratic, lost and full of sorrow. And Annabeth . . . Annabeth is ripping at the seams.
But the gods offer Percy something miraculous, something that they've hardly ever offered before. They tell him he has a chance to come back, to save the camp, and his friends, one last time. The catch: none of them can know about it.
