Nicolas Evens: The Rise of the new ones

Arriving at the huge gates, I noticed a couple of saytrs playing volleyball in the volleyball pit. Turning around to Adam, I smiled. "These are the Gates of Entrance. Because you are knew, this will be your first time passing through them. Once inside you will meet our director, or what mortals call a mayor."

Walking through the gates, we made our way inside. The halls were a towering fifty feet bigger on the inside than outside. The hallways extended for miles and if you weren't careful enough you'd end up lost.

After fifteen minutes of walking, we made our way towards a set of double doors. Opening the doors, I stepped through and gazed at the man sitting on the chair. He had a great head of hair, spiked back and marble brown eyes. He held a chest-gaurd armor and a pair of jeans and old fashioned boots like the ones Liz was wearing.

"Markus." I sighed, as I walked in. "I found another demigod." I advised. Intriuged the man glanced at Adam. He didn't seem to care enough to keep attention on him.

"I see, good. Thank you." Markus emphasized. "Now, what is your name, boy?"

"Adam Linstein." He replied, amazed I smiled. I had never asked him his last name, but when I did ask for his name he only gave me his first name.

"Hmm. That's good, now do you have any specific abilities that others might call special?" Markus asked.

"I can summon and control fire." Adam admitted shyly.

Glancing at me, Markus smiled. "I see, so you already know who's his father."

"Yea, but that's not the reason why we came here. I'm worried about a dream of mine. I dreamed about the rise of a new enemy. I couldn't see their face but I'm sure they are powerful."

Silently, Markus rose from his chair. He skulked forward and when he stopped he glanced over his shoulder. "Alright, let's go, we'll descuss this after the challenge. Besides, something is about to happen soon."

"Markus, just remember to call Chiron before the night is over." I assured him.

"I'll remember." Markus chided. "Now, let's go."

The field of battle was packed with various demigod soldiers ready in their armor and helmets. Walking through the groups, we made it to the leading station the blue team. Adam was now fully equipt with his spear, a chest plate and knee pads. His eyes didn't look confident but luckily after being claimed that would break out of him.

At the call of the whistle, we raced into the forest in search for the mural crown. An ancinet relic that would be given to the one person that kept it until the end.

Racing through the forest, I kept Adam by my side. He was a roockie, I couldn't let him get beaten that easily. I had to make sure he'd get claimed and if I was right, I could see a real child of Apollo in action.

After a good run, I stopped to have Adam hesitate. He was attentive to my perception of enemies. Which was a good thing.

"What is it?" Adam focused.

"Ready yourself, they're coming." Pulling out my celestial bronze sword I readied myself and charged. In a sudden jump, three demigod soldiers appeared. Slashing one down and slaming the other two together I disposed of them.

"Look out!" I called back. In a blur of mobement, Adam swiped his spear in between his fingers as he twirled it around. Repelling his enemies backward, he dropped to the ground in a crouching position as he defeated the enemies.

In a golden aura, Adam stood straigh up unfazed and healthty. Amazed, I smiled. "I knew it. You're definitely his son."

"Apollo." Adam sighed. "That's my father's name." With a serious and confident look in his face, Adam remained silent like he had just stared at death in the face.
