Echoes In The Stream

Percy's P.O.V

I awoke in a small bedroom. A fan circled slowly overhead. I had a faded orange t shirt and old ripped jeans. A necklace was tied around my neck. I sat up and looked around. A window was open, and the sun shined through. A dresser and mirror were in the corner and a pen lay on my dresser.

Where am I? Who am I? I wondered. I looked in the mirror and stared at my reflection. I had black hair that was ruffled a bit and sea green eyes. The necklace had strange looking beads on it, and I knew it was from where I belong.

"Luke?" A girl asked. The name stirred up a memory I once had, but was now long gone. The door opened and a girl waked in. She had dark brown hair tied back in a braid and sea green eyes that seemed to change to brown.

"You alright?" She asked. I took the eon, as if it would protect me and said, "No. I have no memory of who I am." The girl's eyes got big and wide, "What?! Luke, your my brother. I'm Natalie Lisgracha. Your Luke Lisgracha. We've been living in Kansas for since you were born! Your 17 and I'm 18. Don't your remember?!"

I shook my head and rubbed my temples, "It's all so confusing! I-I remember my home is somewhere else. I-" She put a hand on my shoulder, "Luke, it's okay. You probably hit your head and will remember it all in the morning."

I shrugged and sat on my bed, "Who's our parents?" Natalie bit her lip and responded, "Well, our mom Julie Lisgracha is downstairs and our dad is... Poseidon." I furrowed my eyebrows together, "The sea god? Like Greek Mythology?"

Natalie nodded, "Yeah, only it's not myths, the Greek gods are real. As well as the monsters. No monsters ever bother us much. Anyway, let's go downstairs and get you some breakfast." I nodded and followed her down stairs.

Her mom, my mom was making pancakes at the stove. "Morning Luke. Morning Natalie. Sleep well?" She asked. Natalie went over and whispered in my moms ear. Her eyes got big, then she nodded. She had jet black hair, like mine but her eyes were brown like Natalie's.

"That's alright Luke. It's easy living here. Just us and the farm. The town is at least 10 miles North. Your safe here." She said. "Now, set the table for our flapjacks!" Natalie gave me one last look, then joined me at the table.

I had no idea that somewhere a girl was searcing for me. A girl named Annabeth.
