The Circle

So it turned out that when you bind the circle it means you cant use your power without another member of the circle, so with that hanging in my mind I took a shower and did the usual morning stuff you do when you realize you can only do your demigod powers and when your the daughter of death you can't really do much that can help you on an every day basis.

I went to get some breakfast when my grandma was out doing what ever she does in this small town. I made an egg sandwich and left for school with Percy in his car waiting for me.

"What are you doing here? I have a car you know." I said after knocking on his window.

"I just thought you would like someone to drive you to school just once at least, please."

"Fine but if you put on country music I swear I will raise the dead to punch you." I said as I got into his car, it was blue of course along with his shirt and shoes and backpack.

"I'm guessing you like blue?"

"Oh, umm, yah, too much?"

"No its fine, getting a migraine but fine." he laughed at that, he has the sweetest, kindest laugh and he smells like salt water, I love him but Annabeth is dating him and I dont want to ruin a good friendship.

I stay quiet for the rest of the ride and when we get close to the school he swerves into an alley way.

"Look Emma, I love you and I know its not fair to Annabeth but I do love you, I wake up in the middle of the night thinking of you, wondering if your all right, Emma I can't stop thinking about you,"

I decide to say nothing, Im speechless, they have been dating since sixth grade and I can't get in the way of that now.

"I know, I feel the same way, but I think what you and Annabeth have is too important to just break up right when I get here, I can't be with you Percy, Im sorry." I get out of the car and once I get around the corner I break into a run, tears streaking my face, I can't do this, I can't keep running away.

I wipe off the tears and enter the school, Reyna keeps on trying to unlock her locker with magic but failing.

"We can't use our powers without someone from the circle using it for the same thing." and with that her lock unlocks.

"Thanks." she says as I leave.

I see Annabeth before she sees me and I get hidden in the crowd, I cant talk to her, not now.
