Lost, Life, and Love

Chapter 5: Let's Get It Started

"So there I was, middle of Tartarus and I said on word that terrified them all. 'Bob.'" Everyone started laughing at Percy. It had been a while since the running and walking and I was lounging on the couch with Charlie. Liam and Callista had left to go 'practice,' not that anyone besides their parents believed them.
"Percy, honey, all our children know this story well enough to know you're lying." Annabeth, Charlie's mom said. She'd apologized and explained she just broke. I knew how that felt, that's why I'd been sent here, my last home I had a melt-down.
"Quiet. The others don't know it yet." Percy said shushing his wife.
"Um, Uncle Percy, everyone except Jackson's girlfriend knows the story." the girl that looked like Liam, probably Stacy, said.
"Really? I feel stupid now." He said the thrust his hand over his mouth. I laughed with everyone else.
"Seaweed Brain, did you just call yourself stupid? Great, now I owe each of our children fifty bucks." Annabeth sighed and grabbed Percy's wallet. They started talking in facial expressions.
"Now why would all your children want male deer? I don't understand. Why? Can't they want a doe or two?" I pretended confusion and everyone started laughing, even Nico who hadn't laughed so far.
"Char, you have to marry her. I say it has to be so." Charlie's littlest brother, Jacob, said. Both, Charlie and I went beet red.
"Wow. Mom, can I have my phone back to take a picture of this?" Stacy said. I returned to my normal color quickly. I hate having people take photo's of me.
"No. You lost your rights to your phone until tomorrow." said the supermodel looking lady in the room. She had Liam's and Stacy's eyes and Stacy's figure, but other than that she was completely different. Her skin was honey colored, like mine, and her hair was brown. She was slender, and very pretty.
"Wait, did little Jacob just suggest my daughter marry your oldest son Percy?" Leo said and I rolled my eyes. He just now realized that?
"He did? What?" Percy said and Annabeth smacked his arm.
"This is why we don't watch reality TV with children in the room. Now he's going to be weirder then he already is." Annabeth glared at her husband.
"What's wrong with weird? I'm weird so it not being amazing is completely incorrect." I said and snapped my fingers.
"Did you just call my wife wrong?" Percy said, barely keeping his laugh in.
"Yes, I did. Weird is awesome and amazing. Being amazing is a side affect of being weird. Weird is the best thing to ever exist." I said in a breath.
"Percy has been out sassed, as well as Annabeth outsmarted. Nico, you owe me a hundred bucks." Leo said holding his hand out to Nico.
"And you now owe me 25 due to the fact it was a bet on me." I held my hand out to Leo. Nico handed Leo the money and Leo counted 25 then handed it to me.
"Whipped." a voice said from the front door. A large Chineseman was standing there with a short black woman and their kids and three dogs.
"Frank. That's not how we greet our friends." The black woman said to Frank.
"But Hazel! He is! By a teenager too! When else can I call him whipped?" He said in a pouty voice.
"Try Tuesday." I said in a flat voice. Again, people started laughing. One of the Zhang's dogs came running towards me and Charlie. It jumped on us and started liking us. I giggled when it liked my elbow. Everyone froze. "What? Even I am not perfect. Sorry to disappoint you all." The teenagers laughed and the adults just shrugged.
"Hey, Pollux, get off." Charlie said to the dog. Pollux got off us and the other dogs got on and continued licking us.
"Marco! Ca-" Hazel, I think her name was, tried to yell at the dogs.
"POLO!" Everyone yelled and burst into laughter.
"Okay, everyone is almost here. Just Reyna, Rachel and Octavian. I say let's get this party started." Leo said.
"Leo, using song lyrics in life is not a good way to say things. You have to let that habit go." I said with a smile on my face.
"Let it go?" Leo responses.
"There you go again! Did you even listen to her?" Nico steps into the conversation.
"What?"
"Avril Lavigne? Really?" Stacy said, smirking.'
"No, it was Katy Perry. Duh!" Jacob says putting a hand on his hip.
"FOB, actually." I counter.
"FOB?" Leo is really confused now.
"Really, twice?" I roll my eyes, pretending to be annoyed.
"Just be glad he didn't say California gurls." Stacy says.
"Oh, the horror." I cover my eyes with my arms and fake a scared face.
"Girls, stop teasing Leo." Percy says. I sigh and quit teasing Leo. Stacy glares and sits down on the floor.
"What is FOB?" Leo asks, making Nico and I gasp.
"Fall Out Boy." I answer simply.
"One of the best bands ever to exist." Nico states simply.
"Oh." Leo says.
The door opens again and the living room gets even more crowded. Not by a lot but still. Charlie sits up and pulls me onto his lap. A pale scrawny dude and a redhead join us on our couch.
"Rach, look. He got a girlfriend? Did you see that?" the scrawny dude questioned the redhead.
"Yes, Octavian, I did. Her name is Sarah." She sasssed him and turned to me, "oh, and I can't wait to see your son Brent."
"You already picked a name?" Charlie asked me.
"No, but yes." I answer confused myself.
"Rachel, they don't know us yet." Octavian said.
"Sorry. I'm Rachel Elizabeth Dare." the redhead said.
"For now." Octavian mumbled, louder then he meant.
"Not happening. My boss and your ancestor agree that it shouldn't." Rachel countered. I noticed all other conversations stopped.
"They're the same person." Octavian countered.
"It's persona, not person. Since you're obviously talking about Apollo." Annabeth said.
"What does my dad have to do with this?" I asked shocked at the turn of events.
"Wait, we're related?" Octavian asked in as much confusion as I was in.
"Yes, you two are. It's like me and Frank though." Percy said, confusing me and Octavian more.
"Perce! You said you wouldn't bring that up." Frank said in a whinny tone.
"Quit whining!" Octavian and I both snapped at him. Octavian looked at me and nodded.
"She's got a good attitude in my book." Octavian said.
"And I do believe that no one really cares for your book, so that don't matter." I said as I leaned against Charlie, he was really comfy and warm.
"It's doesn't, not don't." From the Ms. Know-it-all herself., no offense to Annabeth.
"I'm pretty sure Sarah's about to say I doesn't care now that you've said that Annabeth." Charlie said.
I smiled as I had a brilliant thought. Teenagers go to one part of the house, adults to another, children stay here. Now if only I could get someone else to suggest it. What? I don't like people, or talking, or talking to people, or talking people, or anything to do with those two things.
"Hey, she's smiling. Should we run?" Stacy said, with a teasing smile on her face, to her Liam.
"With her and the other teenagers? Yes. Adults are horribly embarrassing." I responded talking about myself in third person.
"Bye parents." Liam and Stacy said as all us seven teenagers left for the backyard.
