Islands of Guilt
Chapter 6
*sorry it wouldnt let me go back and edit chapter 5*
"How do I get out of this labyrinth?" Percy shouted.
I chuckled. "From the room, take a left, another left, and a right." I heard his footsteps echoing in the hallway until he was in front of me. He was still only wearing boxers. "Thanks," He said quickly, "I need to make an Iris message so try not to interrupt please." I nodded, and Percy was already taking water from the sink, using his water flexibility, making it into a mist. He then threw in a golden drachma, "O goddess, accept my offering." The image flickered to an open grassy field, strawberries growing. Nymphs were in the field, tending to the strawberries, and other demigods were helping, they were all wearing the same bright orange t-shirt. It read, CAMP HALF-BLOOD. My eyes widened, I was looking behind Percy's shoulder, and took a deep breath of salty sea.
A place, a real live place, where demigods gathered. If only, I thought. But I don't know how I'd leave. "Grover!" Percy yelled, snapping me out of my day dream. A scrawny satyr, with a green beanie and a face with acne, turned and his face brightened. "Percy," Grover said, "How's that quest?"
Percy flinched. Quest? He probably didn't want for me to know that. I poked him, and he turned slightly to look at me, and we both shared a message. This piece of information will not go past me. "It's doing okay," Percy tried to sound lighthearted, but it wasn't exactly working, "I found a place to stay."
"I didn't think the Shadowhunters would allow you to enter."
"Well, they haven't exactly..."
"Percy," Grover said his name slowly, like he was the teacher and Percy was the little kid who cut a girls hair off. "Where are you?" He started to look around, and saw me. "I'm staying at a... friend's house." Grover looked at Percy skeptically, "And who's that?"
"That's --"
"Annabeth Chase, daugheter of Athena." I chimed in.
Grover's big eyes got bigger.
