I got nervous from the satyr's reaction, my face blushed and I cleared my throat. "Is there a problem, Grover?" He shook his head and coughed, "Bleh-eh-eh, no. But when you were young, two or three, your mother asked me to guard you. Of course I accepted, but a monster nearly got both you and me, but luckily Athena came in time to help. Never saw you again."

As the information settled in, my imagination ran wild. Could me and Percy have any past connections? A light bulb lit up in my head. "Um, Percy?" I said, cutting through the silence, "I'll be in the library, call me if breakfast seems ready." He nodded, and I glided into the library's entrance, taking a relaxing deep breath, smelling books and leaves. I sat down at a ledge in the window; it had a nice, calming view of the sparkling blue-green ocean. The soft white sand was still in the shadow of Percy's ship. The Argo ll, it read. A bronze dragon served as the head of the ship, seeming to be...alive.

Percy had been in my past, be he didn't know that. I remember when I was around the age of four, my mother had taught me about the basic livings of demigods, specifically ones who didn't know what they were. Athena had been showing me images; a girl with wild, spiky black hair tugging her little blond brother away saying, "No, no, no Jason!"; a boy with sandy hair, seeming to be eight sitting down on a porch, eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich while his mother mumbled; another four year old with jet black hair and sea green eyes, sitting on a park bench with his arms crossed, glaring at a fat mortal, "Smelly Gabe," he had called him. That, was the Percy currently in the living room.
