Broken Heart

We won the war against Gaea. We stopped the Romans. It finally time to go on a date with Percy. I plan to get him a seashell from the beach. It's around midnight, so everyone's asleep.

I sneak out of my cabin, and wall across the cool ground. My night dress billows in the wind. I creep past the Hades cabin, where Nico sits mumbling to himself on his bed. Creep.

I finally reach the Lake, and jog out on the warm sand. The tide comes in and washes my bare feet. It tickles and I laugh.

"Enjoying yourself?" Comes a voice. Oh my Gods. The voice is familiar. Too familiar. I whirl around and come face to face with Luke.

"Your... your dead!" I stammer. My heart feels like it's being squeezed. Is he good or bad? Luke grins, "Not any more. Join me, and I will spare Camp Half Blood."

I gulp, "Join you with what?" His grin grows, "In taking over the world of coarse! And throwing over the Gods!" I sigh, "Luke, I thought you were good." He punches my jaw and I fall to the sand.

"I was good. But now, Tartarus has shown me the light! He brought me back from the dead! Join me, in building a Tartarus army! We will rule together! Just like old times!" He says. "Luke, you said you wouldn't hurt me." I said, trying to make him remember.

His eyes squeezed shut, and he crumpled to the sand. "Annie... Run... Tartarus is controlling-" he gets up, and rubs the sand off himself. "Chose. Me or... Percy!" He says. Tears are streaming down my face, "Percy..."

Luke's hurt and anger flashes on his face and he screams, "Thalia!" Behind him, Thalia emerged. Her eyes were blank, and she walked stiff. "Thalia..." I whisper. She glares at me, and sends a punch to my jaw.

I fall back to the sand, hurt and confused. Thalia kneels over me, and takes out a watch. It was counting down.

"Listen." She said, her voice raspy. "Break up with Percy or we will blow up camp. Tartarus can control people when they are hurt or wanting to die." Oh no, Leo and Nico! I glare at her, "No. Percy is like my husband. I will never leave him."

Thalia screams and kicks my chest. I let out a gasp, and clutch my chest. "Luke, get the serum." She says. He nods and takes out a needle. "Luke, I know you can hear me. Don't do this." I say. He grins and sticks it in my arm.

The last thing I hear is, "The love potion will make you madly in love with whoever you see first. Sweet dreams Annabeth." Then I fall back into unconsciousness.
