Just Smile

The next day, I moved into the Apollo cabin. They welcome me in like family. I was happy for that.

"So, Claire, welcome to Apollo cabin, this is your new home for the summer or for the year. It u to you. I'm Ray second in command for our cabin. Our oldest brother hasn't shown up for camp yet. We just need to get your bed ready."

Ray snaps his fingers. This giant bed pops up. It was a full size bed. It had amazing speaker system. It had other cool things that I needed for music. I just fell in love with it.

"This is mine?" I asked.

"Yep," Ray hugged me. I was surprised. "Okay, everyone we got sword fighting in five. Get ready."

I was already ready for the day. I was in my Camp Half-Blood shirt and in a pair of basketball shorts. Ray pulled me to the side. He put something in my pocket. He put a finger to his lips like in secret. I wasn't allowed to look. We waited outside for everyone. We headed out. I was pretty good for a newbie. During our free time, we played volleyball against Ares kids. We ended up cursing them again.

I had a great first day. When we got back to the cabin a trunk was sitting on my bed. I opened it. It was all of my clothes and other stuff I needed for camp. I was so happy for this. I talked to my new siblings. I didn't know how to deal with all of this. Then one of my siblings asked me something weird.

"Why do you were such dorky glasses?" He asked me.

"Because I like them." I said.

"But you don't need them to see?"

"I have perfect vision."

He ran to me and took my glasses. He then hide my glasses.

"Hey!!!" I yelled.

"You look a lot better without those glasses, Claire. Trust me." He said

I felt weird for not having them. They were comfort blanket. I felt so insecure without them. I hoped no one will notice tomorrow.
