Sybil's POV

I used to be normal, just a normal girl living with her normal family on the what used to be a paradise, Ogygia.

This all changed when I decided to venture off at night.

I had straight platinum blonde hair then, now I have long dark firey red hair that for some reason scares some people with my fierce features.

Anyways I was trying to find the goddess of the night, Nyx, she had inspired me with her power, so I wanted to witness her myself.


"Your foolish my child, coming during the dark night isn't of a wise decision." a voice whispered.

"Nyx, night goddess, are you there?"

"I shall never reveal myself, but I will tell you this, you are my daughter, you can channel your power in the moon and stars and carry on this gift, you have been saved straight from Hades clutches tonight, you will never be the same my darling, so remember this, if you use your powers to save another, you will be hurting yourself and in some cases hurting both of you." then the voice was gone and I was claimed by the night goddess Nyx.

Then I blacked out, what was happening, was this part of the claiming ritual or something or was this the beast of the night claiming me as his prey.

When I woke up I was in a cave laying on some cushions with a girl lying a few feet away from me it was like she got hurt from what I now found out was a rock thrown to my head.

I noticed there was a cave opening but it was blocked by a boulder, what was I supposed to do now, the sun will be up soon and so will my family, they would want to know why I ventured off into the night even when the stories of the night beast are the only nightmares children have in this village.

Soon the girl woke up, " Who are you and why did you attack me?" I asked.

"I saved your life, the night beast would've killed you, and you attacked me too." said the girl.

"I blacked out when you hit me on the head with a rock, how would I attack you?"

"Oh my gods, I now know why this happened, if one of us gets hurt you get hurt if one dies the other dies to in the same way, that must have been what Nyx was talking about, we're linked for eternity!"

The girl fainted which then meant I fainted to.
