Calypso's POV

My mother used to tell me stories of a powerful witch who had once roamed Ogygia, she said she was the night, the darkness, the fear, all in one.

One day after our bedtime stories there were voices coming from outside, then screams from the maids.

"Calypso, my dear, stay here, and keep this light with you and no matter what the voices say, dont scream dont leave and most importantly dont show fear, if I dont come back I tell you this, those stories are true, she is back, not in full power, but still very dangerous, remember these words, remember the light," Then she handed me a little necklace with a small bottle carrying light.

When she left I heard her scream, I wanted to scream to, but I knew that wasn't an option, then the darkness in the corners began moving and then I saw her, she had my mother's face but instead of her beautiful hazel eyes, they were black with darkness, her face was pale and her hair was black and flaying everywhere, she was claimed to darkness, to claim my soul, for eternal darkness.

I stayed strong, I faced her straight on, she took my mother, but she wouldn't take me, I cursed her to eternal solitude and stripped her of her power, she was nothing, she could do nothing, but curse me.

I passed out then I awoke in the woods with blood and rips on my gown and a dead body or what was left of the body next to me.

There was enough left of him for me to recognize his face, he was a man from the village, he was always kind to me, always cared for me, now I killed him.

In my fear I stumbled up just to fall over another body that was surrounding me, I looked up and saw dead bodies surrounding me, all villagers, I knew all of them, I killed all of them, I am a murderer, a beast.
