The Name Stealer

I fall down a ravine

Sky's POV

The girl didn't look injured, except for the blood on her shirt. Other than that, the look fine! On never mind. I'm terrible at sarcasm. There was a cut on her lip, and her shirt was torn by her rib cage. She had a nasty gash on her ribs, and her eyes were almost popping out of their sockets.

She he gasps as she says, "My house is right across this bridge." I see a rickety, old, unstable, termite infested bridge, across a ravine. "There is no way, I'm gonna cross THAT." I say, pointing to it.

"Come on Sky. We have to. She needs medical attention. Look! She's almost white, and her eyes are rolled to the back of her head." Vincent said pleadingly.

I roll my eyes, sigh, and cross the bridge. Thank the gods nothing happened. I saw a small cabin in the distance and grabbed Frost's hand and started running. I opened the door, not really looking at the cabin. I rushed into the bathroom, and grabbed supplies. I found ambrosia and nectar too. I thought that was interesting, but just brushed it aside and shoved it into Frost's open arms.

I run, well, walk, back into the living roomish area, and Vin, I'm now calling him that, has already laid her on the sofa. I throw everything on a wooden table, and grab the nectar from Frost. I drizzle some down her mouth, and also shove down half an ambrosia square.

Cabin-Girl's color starts coming back, and the blood stops flowing. Her lip heals up, and the gash in her ribs starts to scab over. Her eyes open and she sits up, looking dizzy. She grabs the bottle of nectar, and drinks half of it.

I pull it out of her hand before Cabin-Girl disintegrates. "Are you nuts? You'll turn to ash!" I said, corking the bottle and setting it out of her reach.

"I'm not nuts. I have a higher tolerance for nectar and ambrosia than most demigods." She said, wiping her mouth on her dirty brown sleeve. "So you are a Half-Blood." I said.

"Yep." She burps. "Excuse me. Sorry. Ya. I am. Who are you by the way?" She asked.

"I'm Sky, daughter of Phoebe. This is Frost, daughter of Khione, and Vincent, son of Hermes. And can I ask who you are?"

"I'm Alica Cream, daughter of, well, I'm not sure. I've never been claimed. I think it might be Janus. Not sure though." She said, rubbing her chin.

"What do you think it's Janus?" Frost asks.

"Well, uh, it's kinda complicated, and I don't like doing it often." She said, nervously rubbing her arm.

"Then just tell us." Vin said. She looked uneasy, as she glanced around the room.

"Well, in a long story short sort of way, I can change into a boy. It's not fun to do, but it's cool when I'm transformed. I look totally different and can act like a boy without any thought."

I just stared, in utter shock. For the three years I've lived at Camp, wait. That's not right. I'm being dramatic. How about this. All the time I've spent at Camp, I've never heard of a demigod who could do that. It was pretty neat.

"So, you can turn into a boy? How?" Vin asked.

"Uh, well, it's complicated, embarrassing, and painful. Trust me. I don't do it often."

"Are you hungry?" Frost asks. Sometimes I wonder how dumb I can get.

"As a matter of fact, I'm famished." Alicia said, getting up.

"I'm sorry. We can't stay. We have to go. We have to reach Texas tomorrow, and we've got a long road ahead of us." I said, standing up, and moving towards the door.

"Wait. Let me come with you." Alicia said, rushing over towards me, blocking the door.

"Why?" I ask.

"I need to. I have to redeem myself."

"Redeem yourself! What did you do?" Frost asked.

"That a doesn't matter right now. I KNOW I have to got with you."

It went on like this for about five minutes. "Fine! You can come! Geez." I said, throwing my hands up in the air in defeat. I stomped towards the bridge, like and idiot. Stomping over a rickety, old termite infested bridge? Not the smartest idea. I was near the other side, when a board broke loose, and one leg slipped through.

I cried out from the pain. I'm not the most flexible person, and I was doing the splits. I tried to pull myself up, but it didn't help. Vin started tugging on my arm, but just pulled my arm. He didn't pull the rest of me. Frost started to rush over, but I stopped her with a very loud No!

I punched the nearest board, my eyes watering from the throbbing in my hand, and it snapped like a twig. I started falling, but I wasn't scared or anything. I've dived from higher places.

I fumbled with my backpack trying to ignore Frost's screams. I grab a cord and pull, and my back pack inflated like a balloon. It expands to the size of a inflatable boat and I land on the ground, bouncing five feet in the air, and landing hard on my back. It took me about fifteen seconds to shake it off, and stand up.

I instinctively grab the grappling hook and rope and start swinging it. I let it fly and it hooks onto the edge of the ravine. I press a button, deflating my backpack back to a normal size, sling it over my shoulder, and start climbing, mountain style. Hand up, foot up, find a ledge.

Hand, foot, hand, foot. It took me about five minutes to reach the top. As I pulled myself up, I noticed dark clouds staring to form. I flip up over the edge, and wrap up the rope.

"Come on! Get to the truck. It's about to start storming like a hurricane!" I said, waving at them and sprinting into the woods. I grab the keys and unlock the truck, flinging both doors open, and jumping into the driver seat. I put on my seatbelt as the others got in and slammed the doors shut.

I push on the gas, driving well over the speed limit, trying to outrun a storm.
