The new Goddess

I still couldn't believe Alex had kissed me. It was so not Alex to do that, or maybe it was exactly like Alex. Surprising.
I looked at her and I couldn't help smiling. We reached the foot of the mountain. I was just about to ask why we weren't going further when I saw where Tess and Alex were looking at.
A cave. But not a normal cave. There was a strange light in it. 'Do you want to go in there?' I asked Tess.
'Maybe.' She answered. 'It could lead us to our enemy. And at the moment were looking for him so....'
'I think you're right.' Callum said. 'We should go in there. Follow the light.'
Abby nodded. 'Why not...' She said.
'Okay.' Tess decided looking at Alex who nodded. 'Lets go then.'
We walked through the entrance of the cave. It was a lot colder inside it. We followed the lights for a while. I looked around, was this really a good idea? I found Alex walking next to me. The others walked in front of us. In the small light I could just see a little of her face. I smiled and she smiled back. Them my smile faded and I thought about the things that could happen in the cave. What of we got lost?
'Hey.' Alex whispered. 'What is it?'
'Oh nothing...' I whispered back.
I felt that her hand was looking for my hand and in the dark it was quite hard. Finally she grabbed it and looked at me. 'Its going to be fine. Don't worry okay?'
'Yeah sure...' I answer.
'I promise it's going to be okay. I promise.'
I wanted to tell her that she couldn't promise something like that but I was interrupted by a creepy sound.
'What....' Abby said.
'Shhh!' I answered.
We were deadly silent. I looked around but I didn't see anything. Then we heard the sound again. Closer this time. 'Run.' Tess said and we started to run after her. We took random ways and I was sure we were lost now. We heard the sound again and it was definitely following us. 'We have to hide!' Alex said. The others agreed. We came in a sort of underground hall with big stones in it. The perfect place to hide. Alex and I say behind a big stone were we could watch the entrance of the hall. Suddenly the monster that was chasing us came in. It looked like black mist and it had green eyes. It looked like the thing that had attacked me. It looked around and narrowed his eyes when he was looking at the stone Abby was hiding behind. The monster laughed. 'Ahh.. Welcome welcome my dear.' He said. 'Its such a pleasure!' Abby didn't know he was talking to her so she tried to look who he was talking to. That was the stupidest thing she'd ever done. The monster laughed and pulled her behind the stone to the middle of the hall. Abby looked terrified. 'What... What are you going to do? Help!' She said. The monster only laughed harder and harder. 'It has been such a long time ago since my last visitor! And now, when I'm getting more powerful, I need more demigods. Their power makes me stronger.' The black mist turned around Abby. 'I can't look at this.' Alex said and suddenly she kissed me. 'What are you...' I tried to say but she was already gone. She'd drew her sword and ran toward the monster. 'Let her go!' She yelled. The monster looked at Alex now. 'Well well, you're not alone! It's so sad to say this but you're too late! Maybe when I'm hungry again I'll come for you.' The monster said. The mist around Abby was getting thicker and thicker. Alex saw it too and she jumped into the the mist and pushed Abby out of it. At the same moment the mist closet and I couldn't see Alex anymore. I ran from behind the stone. 'Alex!' I yelled but the mist was already fading. Alex was gone. Abby was staring in shock to the place the monster had been. Alex had just saved her live.
'No! No! This can't be happening! No!' Tess cried. She ran into the hallway the monster went.
'Tess!' I yelled. 'Tess come back!' I ran after her. 'Tess what the hades do you think you're doing!' She kicked and punched me. It reminded me of the time in the abandoned cottage, when Tess also tried to save Alex but didn't because of me.
'Tess!' I said. 'You have to listen to me!' She kept kicking and punching me like a little kid. Offcours I also wanted to go look for Alex. But I had the idea that I had to be strong now. For her. As if she wanted me to.
'Let me go!' Tess cried. 'Let me go!'
'Tess! Alex saved us! Following her is the most stupid thing to do, you should know that as a daughter of Minerva.' Tess stopped kicking and punching me. She sat on the ground and was heavily sobbing. I looked at Callum, he was busy with Abby. Trying to get her out of shock. 'We have to go.' I said to Callum. Nodded and grabbed Abby. I followed his example and grabbed Tess.
'Common.' I said. 'We have to go on. For Alex.'
