The new Goddess

We reached the rest of the group. Abby looked still a little upset. Once Tess saw me she ran up to me and gave me a hug. 'Alex! Are you okay?' She asked. I nodded. 'We Ned to talk..' I said. 'With the group.'
Tess walked back to Abby and Callum and told them what was going to happen.
In a few minutes we're sitting in a circle. Abby and I didn't dare to look at each other. Finally Tess tool the word: 'We've al noticed that our group isn't really a group.... And I think we can't go on being like this. Do you agree that with me?' Everyone nodded. 'Good,' Tess continued, 'I think we have to start with Abby and Alex.... You guys don't have to be friends, just shake each others hands, forget about the last hours and be nice to each other for the rest of the quest okay?'
'Okay.' Abby and I said. We stood up and shook each other's hands.
'Can we go on now?' Tess asked.
'No.' I said. Everyone looked at me. ' I want everyone to vote for the leader. The one with the most votes is the new leader. That's fair right?'
'Alex... You don't have to do that.. Let's go on.' Tess said.
'No, I want everyone to vote. What if no one wants me to be their leader? Then we Weill never be a good group!' I knew it was true and Tess knew it to. She couldn't say no now. She sighed. 'Okay then.... But off course, you can't vote for yourself!'
Callum got some paper and pens out of his backpack and it gave everyone. We put our pieces of paper in the empty water bottle of Abby. She shook the bottle and handed it to Finn. He counted the votes. 'Two for Alex and three for Tess.' He said. I'd voted for Tess, and I think Abby did too, and Callum maybe? Tess looked at me. 'Its okay.' I said. 'You'll be a great leader!' Callum nodded. Yup he'd definitely voted for Tess. 'I want to be leader on one condition...' Tess said. ' I want Alex to be the co-leader. Is that okay?'
'Yes off course!' Callum said and the others agreed. I smiled.
'Okay, let's go!' Tess said. 'We've lost a lot of time.'
We continued our way to the mountains. Tess and I were discussing our plans. From time to time I looked back to see Finn smiling at me. I wished we could be alone again. Just the two of us on a normal day. Sadly enough I had the feeling that their would come a day like that in a long time...
We reached the foot of the mountain. 'Do we have to go all the way up here?' I asked. Tess and the others looked around. 'There's a cave...' Tess said. But I don't know if it's smart to go in there. You could easily get lost.' I nodded. 'So I suppose we're going to-'
'SHH!' Callum said. He nodded in the direction of the cave. First I didn't see anything but than I noticed that the wind was blew harder there and there was a small dark blue light shining at the entrance. I looked at Tess and I knew she thought the same. Should we go in there or not?
