The new Goddess

It was a total chaos. Abby was crying, Alex ran away and Tess and Callum were trying to calm Abby down. I walked to them because I didn't know what else to do. Tess looked at me. 'Go!' She said.
'What why?'
'Alex needs someone!'
'No she doesn't! She doesn't need anyone!'
Tess looked annoyed. 'Just go.' She said and she turned around to talk to Abby again.
I walked in the direction Alex ran. After a few minutes I still hadn't found her. where could she be? I looked around. Nothing. I sighed, stupid girls with all their girl problems. Then I heard something. I walked into the direction of the sound. It became louder and it was the sound of someone sobbing. I pushed some loafs away and saw Alex sitting on a stone. Her face was in her hands, but the sobbing was definitely hers. I'd never seen her like this before. It made me feel a little uncomfortable. I walked toward her. 'Hey...' I said. She didn't look up. I kneeled in front of her and stroke some hair out of her face. 'What are you doing here?' She asked. I didn't answer. I didn't exactly know what I was doing here, but I knew one thing. I wanted the mean and happy Alex back. 'Maybe Abby was right.' She continued. 'Don't say that...' I said and I placed my hand on her cheek. She didn't pushed me or my hand away. 'But it's true. I brought camp in danger, and you guys, and... And everywhere I go a mysterious monster shows up.' She'd started to cry. Tears flew over her cheeks. Her face was ice cold and when I touched her hand, it was ice cold too. I tried to wipe the tears away but they kept coming and coming. 'Are you feeling okay?' I asked finally.
'What do you think...' She answered.
'I mean, do you feel sick or something?'
'No, why?' She smiled a little, but that was only for a second. Alex stared at a tree, she looked broken. It hurt me to see her this way. Then she looked at me and she started to sob again. I hugged her. Her body felt cold against mine, but I didn't say something about it because maybe she would push me away then. My arms were around her waist and her face lied on my shoulder. I'd never been so close to her before. My heart beat like crazy and I hoped she didn't feel it. 'I'm so sorry...' She whispered in my ear. 'I'm so sorry for hurting you, if I... I just wanted to....'
'Shhhh,' I said. 'It doesn't matter. Don't worry about it.'
'It does matter!' She sobbed. 'I'm so stupid!'
'No you're not, there are lots of people who like you.'
'Like who?!'
'Like.... Me.... And Tess and Callum and a lot of other people like Emily.'
'You still like me? After all the times I was mean to you?'
I nodded. This was getting a little personal. 'You're crazy.' She said and I smiled. 'Where are the others?' She asked.
'They're over there. Why?'
'I think we need to talk.... As a group.'
I nodded and we stood up. Alex Was only wearing a t-shirt. 'Here,' I said, 'take my hoodie.'
'Why?'
'Because I don't want you to get cold.'
'Thanks.' She said and she walked toward the others. This was my chance, I thought. Now she's gone and maybe when she's back to normal.... 'Alex?'
'Yeah?'
I placed my hands on her cheeks again, it was now or never. I bowed forward, but before I could even try to kiss her, she kissed me.
Sure I had kissed other girls before, but this was different. She was different. And this was amazing. I wished the kiss could last forever but every fairy tale comes to an end.
Alex smiled at me and whipped the last tears away. 'Common, we have to go now.' She said and grabbed my hand.
