The new Goddess

After we found all the supplies we needed we went in the direction of the mountains. I thought about Finn, maybe I was to hard for him. Tess walked next to me. 'Hey.' She said.
'Hey.'
'Okay, maybe it was my imagination, but were you smiling at Finn?'
I started to blush a little, I hoped she didn't see it.
'What? No.' I said.
'Oh, because it would be nice if you guys are going to be friends again. That's better for the group spirit.' She smiled.
'And what about Abby?' I asked.
'Oh, I talked to her. She's going to try, and I want you to try to.'
'And Finn?'
'Yes, I'll talk to Finn too.'
Tess walked to Finn and started to talk to him. The mountains became closer and closer. How would we get over them without getting lost? I wanted to ask Callum, but he was busy talking to Tess and Finn. I can ask him later, I thought. Without Tess, our group would be a mess. There would only be fights. These was our peacekeeper. Everybody liked her, well maybe Abby didn't like her as much as the others but she definitely thought Tess was okay.
We arrived at the bottom of the mountains. Straight up, I thought. I looked at Callum to check if he agreed and he nodded. Here we go.... And I started to climb. It was harder than we thought and after a while everyone was tired. We were in the woods, but you could see a beautiful view between the trees. We went deeper and higher and then we stopped. I looked around. Where did we have to go now? The pad had stopped. I looked at Callum, hopefully he knew where to go.
'Why did we stop?' Abby asked. She sounded really annoyed. I looked at Callum and I prayed that he would say which way to go. Nothing.
'Are we lost?' Abby asked. Nobody answered.
'Jesus, Alex! We're lost! You're the leader! You should know where to go!'
'Hey, I'm trying okay?' I answered.
'No you're not! You're bossy and annoying! It's not fair how you treat us!'
I looked at the others. Did they think that too?
'You're the worst leader ever Alex!' Abby continued.
'Why did you even go on this quest?!' Tess asked.
'Well not because of her!' Abby answered.
'Oh I know why you volunteered! Because you have a crush on Finn!' I said. Suddenly I was really sure of that. Abby didn't know what to say, but that didn't take long.
'Without you there were no monsters! There would still be peace now! Why did you have to show up? I wish you were dead! I wish you died at that stupid bus station!' Abby was crying now and I couldn't listen to her anymore. I didn't know words could hurt but hers did. I turned around and without thinking I ran into the woods. I heard the rest of the group discussing and calling me back, but I didn't listen.
