I will never forget you

After school Audrey and I went to my home. It was so funny to hear how excited she was. I think she could talk about it for hours!
I opened the door and when we were in the hall James, my older brother, ran down the stairs with a huge smile on his face.
'Well, well, does my little brother have a girlfriend?'
'No I'm not his girlfriend.' Audrey said. 'Just a friend.'
'Oh that's too bad, cause you're pretty, don't you think Al?' James smiled at Audrey and she blushed a little. James was always so good with girls, actually I was quiet jealous at him, although I would never admit it.
'Lets go Audrey, we still have a lot of things to do.' I said
She nodded and wanted to follow me when my dad also joined us in the hall. Great.
'Did I hear someone about a girlfriend?' He asked.
'No!' I said. 'James is being annoying again!'
'I was just trying to be polite!' James protested.
'Im Audrey,' Audrey said giving my dad a hand, 'Audrey Jackson.'
My dad smiled. 'I could already tell that from your looks. You look just like your father.'
It looked like Audrey wanted to ask something but instead she just smiled and followed me outside.

'Sorry, my family is... Kind of weird I think.'
'Oh don't worry!' Audrey said. 'They seemed really nice! You're so lucky with an older brother! I only have a younger one and he's a bit boring. Also really sweet of course but he doesn't know about our world. Dad and mom protect him even more then that they protect me.'
'Believe me, having an older brother isn't as great as you think. Now let's start practicing with your powers.' I said standing next to the water and waited. 'Go ahead.'
'Yeah but how?' She asked.
'Well ehm... You have to feel it, I guess. Just pretend you're the water and let it flow.'
'Okay...' Audrey focused on the water and moved her hands as if she wanted to lift the water. Nothing happened.
'I suck.' She said disappointed.
'Dont give up if you can't do it immediately!' I said. 'What happened the other times when you moved water? What did you feel?'
'Anger, or I was super happy or sad. Strong emotions.'
'So you get your power from strong emotions. If we can control that power so you can use it whenever you want, I think that's our goal.'
'You mean you want to train with me?'
'Of course! That's where friends are for right?'
She smiled. 'Okay let's try again.'
'Yeah and think about something that makes you really happy, like.. Ehm...'
'Training with you?' She suggested.
'Ehh... If that makes you really happy...' I said while I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks. I'd never expected her to say something like that, but I was sure I could get used to it.
'Okay let's do this.' She said fully focused again.
Silence.
I didn't move, I just looked at Audrey being concentrated. I didn't want to disturb her.
'I did it!' She suddenly yelled happily. 'Did you see it?'
'Ehh...'
'Okay. It wasn't a lot, just a tiny drip, but it moved! It moved! I made it move! Isnt that amazing?'
I smiled. 'Yes it sure is! I knew you could do it.'
'Thank you so much Al! I can't wait for the next training.'
'Yeah...'
'Theres going to be a next time right?'
'Sure! I would love to help you train, or support you. Remember our goal?'
She had this huge smile on her face which made me laugh.
'What?' She said.
'Nothing.' I answered while we walked back to my house.
