*Leo's POV*

I have never felt so stupid. I mean, obviously, I've felt stupid before, but this tops them all. I whack myself in the head. You really thought that Percy was serious? Why would he, of all people, know when Jason's birthday is? Stupid, stupid, stupid!
"What's wrong Leo?" Hazel asks as she walks through the door.
"Oh, it's nothing, just um...nothing. Smooth.
"It's okay, you can tell me."

She says it so innocently, I almost want to tell her. Almost. Luckily, Annabeth walks in and saves me.

"What's up guys?" She asks distantly.
"We were wondering who's on kitchen duty tonight." I say, a little to quickly. Hazel looks at me curiously.

"Oh, I think it's Frank." Annabeth answers distractedly, obviously absorbed in her book.
"Cool, I'll go get him." I say. By now, even Annabeth can tell I'm hiding something.
"Leo, what's wrong." They both ask at the same time.
"Nothing, just really hungry." I answer, practically running out the door.
I am so dead.
